Never go full Bammer . I was a big fan, after all he was the 1st QB under Saban. Had Applewhite stayed, he probably would have started. I don't know where Bama would be now, but he would have started. It was 80 bucks for a real Bama used jersey w/nameplate(they usually strip them), I couldn't say no at the time.

He actually plays into my 1st Bama site username...unfortunately.

I thought the stuff from that suit store was "for display purposes only"

But seriously, I do worry that arse clown is going to get us in trouble one day

Both memorabilia stores in that mall are shady, both sell things that shouldn't be openly available. I can't get my brother to step foot in the one not owned by TTown's Menswear. Every time he tells me he doesn't believe the validity of the Braves' autographs the guy sells.

It's a shady hobby, especially knowing someone who works in that field. A lot of under the table stuff with players who aren't allowed to make cash deal yet...

355 pound NG Matt Elam from Kentucky was visited by Lance Thompson today.

To go back on a conversation we had earlier in the thread, apparently Elam is a top priority and rumored to be the best NG they've recruited in years per Bone.

That could explain why Mosley is being looked at more as an OL...

It would be nice to have another true 2-gap NG a la Cody.

I really thought we were moving away from that. Towards a more athletic front.

We could have more athletic Ends and keep a giant NG. It'd be nice to find a guy like Dareus or Ngata, both are over 330 right now and move really well, but that's hard to find coming out of High School.

We could take both Elam and Mosley. We are lacking at NG depth. I've seen where Mosley is extremely athletic for his size. We may ask him to lose 30 pounds to play the 5 technique.

Possibly.

My favorite right now is Frazier, but I still haven't really got into this class yet. I'm seeing a lot of gems that aren't as highly ranked as they should be.

Ken Edwards is one guy I really like that we could bring in to play Jack or Sam.

Lot of uncertainty with what's coming in this class. No one knows what Robinson is gonna end up playing, and Paige is starting outside if he even manages to make it in. He could be dangerous after 2 years of JuCo though.

Saban is always gonna have his hybrid gap D built on stopping the run. Elam is as strong as he is massive, so it's a natural fit. Mosley has better burst, but again could be used elsewhere.

I'd rather use Paige and Robinson, due to their quickness, as ends and push them inside on obvious passing downs.

We could use two massive interior guys on run downs and use quicker guys on 3rd down.

I'm hoping Robinson starts outside. He could be a beast at the 5t.

We may move to more athletic players, but today's 350 pounders can be as athletic as 300 pounders 10 years ago.

BOL will have recruiting nuggets tomorrow around noon. I expect that a Tre Williams commitment will not be one of them. However, look for some QB news to be included.

I think it calls for better conditioned rather than a full on switch of type. Ivory looked like a sack of potatoes coming out of HS, now he looks a lot better down to 300.

As good as Daniel McCullers is for Tennessee, he still couldn't stay on the field. He's not a sackmaster, but you still want to get the most snaps as possible. There are very few instances where the backup doesn't downgrade the defensive effectiveness.
