Wonder how many 50+ had underlying conditions? i am guessing 65+ nearly all of them.

Considering Alabama is near the top (or at the top) in terms of conditions like obesity and diabetes, I’d say it’s pretty good chance a lot of them had underlying conditions

All but 23 of the deaths in the 50+ age group had underlying conditions.

East Carolina University says COVID-19 has caused a lot of financial damage, and as a result the school is cutting some athletic programs, including men's and women's swimming and diving and men's and women's tennis. The cuts will save the school an estimated $4.9 million. Athletic scholarships connected to those sports will still be honored.

Breweries, wineries and distilleries can open for business as part of the state's Phase 2 reopening plans, according to the Governor's Office.

While bars must remain closed for at least another five weeks, breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries are able to open because they produce alcoholic beverages for commercial sale off-premises and not consumption on premises, officials said. Any such business that does reopen must follow the social distancing and sanitizing rules in place for restaurants, officials said.

Just down the road at an old industrial site has become a great place for the local breweries, mead, and distilleries. Some serve food but most have inside and outside seating with fire pits, music, and even axe throwing. A fun place to hangout and relax, but the local bars around here are not very happy to say the least.

If you look at the revised numbers on Rtlive, we've been above 1 since April 22 and just dropped back to 1 today. Bamatracker says we've been below 1 since April 13th until today. That kind of disparity is BS.

Despite what the Federal government doesn't think, money doesn't grow on trees.

The cancellation of the spring sports cost division II programs 30 million dollars in NCAA revenue sharing monies alone. They also lost whatever ticket, merchandise, and concession revenues would have been generated from those sports.

Now there's concern that they won't be able to rely on the cash cow this fall. They really don't have much choice.

Don't be surprised if you see some D-1 programs starting to cut costly non-revenue sports too. Michigan's stability-challenged governor has flat out said there won't be full stadiums until there is a vaccine. I expect her to either revise her stance or get it revised for her by the courts or their state legislature, but if you're writing a FY2021 budget you've got to plan on that revenue not being available.

The ACC is already looking at that as well. Talking about blocking seats and alternating rows. Right now they are looking at best to fill at 50%. The main issue is dealing with season ticket holders. Box seats they are not concerned with as much since most places now allow up to 25 to be in a group. I also have a suspicion we may not start the season on time until the players can fully be physically ready to play. It might be 2 or 3 weeks later then normal for the start.

People who think football will be back to norm in the fall may be very disappointed.

Gatherings of up to 10 people are allowed and people are allowed to attend indoor Church services. In stadium seating, no more than 10 people will be within any other person's social distancing zone. People don't have to go to the game if they don't want to and people can wear masks. Imo, people should be allowed to go to football games.

If it is delayed it will probably be for the other reasons you listed IMO bc if the players report June 8th, they should be physically ready by September I would think

Just reading Byrne's and other AD as well as concert promoters comments, it would take some huge new outbreak to keep the games from going on with some reduced seating and likely painstakingly slow stadium entry and exiting procedures.

There will be some people getting rich off selling houndstooth masks.

Except coaches will not be allowed to coach or train the players. It only allows for voluntary and player organized workouts.
