I'm a little pissed that it looks like I won't be able to watch the Bama/Texas A&M game. I might even miss Vandy on Saturday. It's a shame we didn't get a 4pm slot, like the other teams playing today. And I hate early Saturday games. Maybe my opinion will change, when there's things open up again, and there's places I want to go on a weekend. But until then, I hate them.

WKU moved up to Q2.

Kentucky and Furman are very close to Q2 as well.

Stanford close to Q1.

I would imagine that after the first three games of this year our whole team was pretty abysmal.

Not really, especially not to the level that Rojas was.

Don’t understand all the hate on Rojas

He gives serviceable minutes , we are not asking him to be the second coming

It deserves highlighting again. From December 29 to February 9th, 11 of our 13 games played were either Quad 1 or Quad 2 (8 were Quad 1). Despite being riddled with injuries for most of that stretch, we went 11-2 with the 2 losses being on the road against ranked teams and both went down to the wire.

Our "down" stretch of basketball since conference play started was Mississippi State through South Carolina when we went 4-2 and picked up an 18-point Quad 1 win and two additional Quad 2 Wins

Well the discussion was started because by the metric that George posted Rojas is absolutely not giving us serviceable minutes and in fact makes it less likely that we win games.

He comes in, gives us some fouls , a few boards , a few points Must be ahead of KAH. Big bodies are hard to come by

He plays hard, hustles his arse off and is by all accounts a great team guy, but he is extremely inefficient as an offensive player.

Not sure why that would be considered hate if you look at his numbers.

That does not mean his minutes are serviceable.

If a few points, rebounds and fouls are all that are required we could have just kept Galin and Javian.

Yeah, but if he plays 15 minutes and commits 3 fouls, grabs 2 rebounds, and scores 3 points on 1-5 shooting he's not exactly coming in and doing a lot of good. A guy like Ellis is what you really want to see out of a bench player in terms of efficiency.

Warren Nolan predicted RPI (not NET) has all our losses as Q1 by the end of the season, except for Western Kentucky. Also has us going 3-1 the rest of the way, with a loss to Arkansas.

Q1/Q2: 7-6
Q3/Q4: 14-0

Not a fan of that.

Exactly what I’ve been saying. Is he great...no...but he plays hard, plays good defense, and brings toughness and Attitude.

Everybody here acts like he is as useless as Daniel Giddens.

06-Alabama 05-Illinois

What is it about Illinois that they're ranked ahead of us in these seedings coming out?

NET Alabama [Illinois]
record 17-5 [15-5] sos 18 [64]
non-conf 5-4 [4-2] sos 42 [104]
avg net wins 77 [93] losses 46 [22]

We have a better overall record, much better SOS, and better average NET wins.

They edge us in non-conference wins (0.556 to 0.667) and have much better average NET losses.

Are they saying that quality losses matter more than quality wins?
