I have a 90 minute drive to Selma tomorrow afternoon. I was looking forward to an old school yell at the radio day.

Posted this on tRant, but this postponement leaves Alabama (12-1) and Arkansas (9-4) both with four games remaining.

At best, Arkansas can win out and finish 13-4.

If for some reason Alabama falls apart and drops the last three after Vandy (Arkansas, MSU, Auburn), they could also finish 13-4, in a tie as conference co-champions.

None of this is necessarily likely, but having a win against Texas A&M gave us another buffer game just in case, since it comes down to win percentages.

(Of course this also doesn't matter if Alabama beats Arkansas next week, but we've just been hurt so much in February, it's hard not to consider. )

I like the idea of playing it during the gap before the SECT. Gives us a break now and a game to break up the otherwise 10 day layoff.

I think both would help our continuity and give those with injuries, esp. Bruner the opportunity to ease back in.

Tom Hart just said on the radio he thinks the SEC is gonna start scheduling a lot of Monday and Thursday games to make all of the missed games up. Meaning teams will have 3 games a week...Saturday, Monday, Wednesday or Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday.

Advantage for us because we only have 1 game to make up.

Can we establish why again we aren't playing aTm? We're setting a terrible precedent in canceling games for innocuous reasons.
I remember we played a game in Knoxville when it was snowing outside.

This some historical cold and snow in Texas. Much of the state is a disaster right now.

I don't know the specifics in College Station but most of Texas is a disaster zone right now. They don't have enough power in their grid to power the state and people are freezing in their houses.

My guess is between the 2nd storm coming through and those issues that they said it's not possible.

With the things that the folks in Texas are going through, I feel like it would be disrespectful to play anything there. The pictures that I’ve seen are apocalyptic

inability to travel, continuing power outages, emergency services likely needed elsewhere, people are dying and scrambling to put on a bball game isn't a good look, etc.

Our stove is gas so we've been able to cook.

Had power last night from 11 PM to 6:30 AM.

Power came back around noon and just shut off about 30 minutes ago.

It's not too cold so we're comfortable. Just walking into shite.
