I've been saying this too, but let's be honest. Bruner isn't Shaq, he doesn't make THAT much of a difference for us.

Say WHAT now?!

Bruner has more offensive rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in 283 minutes this season than Reese and Rojas have managed to combine for in 556 minutes.

And look at the shooting percentages.

Injuries are piling up and we are running out of bigs. Right now I will take a one point win vs Hoover High School as long as its a W,and we get back to some semblance of health.

I’ve said since the start of the season that he’s our most important player to stay healthy. He’s value over replacement is a massive difference (even with Reese’s improvement), and a big that can pass like he can does wonders for this offense.

They're winning at the moment in Nashville.
We Alabama fans can literally say no smack to any tean that is leading against Vandy in that God forsaken gym.

Even we have figured out how to win there since Vandy collapsed a few years ago. We've actually won 2 straight there!

And it makes sense because

(A) he's a very good player

and

(B) he's at a position where the guys who replace him are nowhere near his level

. @AlabamaMBB head coach Nate Oats: "It's not bad to win a close one either. We did some dumb things late in the game but we did enough to win. Rojas steps up, goes 4-4 at the line late. Showed a lot of mental toughness, he played hard and won the blue collar award."

Rojas!!

Dude, relax. It’s a message board. It’s okay to vent frustrations about some issues we have. EVERY fan base does it. If fans didn’t express their frustration we’d still be watching Avery ISO-ball.

No problems here, I just hate the contemptuous and insulting comments that some make about the players and coaches. Coach Oats has addressed this. It's not criticism that I'm referring to, it's the kind of comments that you would never make to someone's face or they would backhand you off of your chair.

Listen to those who object to my criticism of their contemptuous and insulting comments. They don't like it. Well if someone can dog-cuss a player who is not here to defend himself, why can't someone politely tell that poster that they are a bad poster? They are being hypocrites.

Remember it is not criticism, it's the contempt and insults. And yes it matters to coaches and players and their families.

With South Carolina trailing 79-76, coach Frank Martin said he drew up a play with three options for a tying 3-pointer. Instead, Jermaine Couisnard connected with Justin Minaya for an uncontested layup.

The Gamecocks were forced to foul Rojas, who made his free throws.

''Instead of running what we asked to run, we just kind of ... no mental connection with the situation,'' Martin said.

Thanks for the stats, I’m willing to admit when I’m wrong about the importance of a player. This really sheds light on how much we are missing without him, appreciate the insight. Hoping these stats will mean good things for us when he returns.

If they can’t handle it, then they don’t need to read it. No one is above criticism and if someone doesn’t like it then they can choose not to read. People are pointing out valid flaws. People are also venting.

You just won't listen. It's not the criticism but the contempt and insults. There's a big difference that some of you are unwilling to acknowledge.

We went into Columbia against a pretty decent SC team that played hard without our starting center and his 2 most productive backups hobbled and the other went down after 2 minutes. Our best player banged up, not practicing and not playing well. We still came away win a road win to go to 11-1 in the SEC.

Definitely a lot to nitpick about the overall performance but that's more the sign of top 10-15 team than any of the issues.

Agree - I was pretty concerned about this. Then Gary gets hurt, Herb plays poorly, Carolina refuses to go away and we still find a way to claw it out.

I'm not stoked about how we're playing at present, but I'm pretty happy with the results we've been able to grind out over the last 20 days as our play had struggled. And the ability to grind out these games is going to end up being why we win the SEC.
