3 on 1 fast break? Better drive directly at the only defender, never force him to commit, and miss the layup without drawing contact.

Man I am looking forward to this 6 day break after tomorrow’s game. This is the first time in years I’ve really just become numb and not cared about Bama basketball too much. Like yeah I’ll still watch every game, but I’ve started just looking forward to next season already. Part of that is bc we don’t have fans and the games are boring but then when you combine that with the fact that we already have 3 losses, it just makes it worse.

I don’t mean to be negative, but with the way we’ve played, I see absolutely no way we make the NCAAT

Bama Film room made a great post showing how a lot of our plays are open but our Guards are too late recognizing it and by time they do it’s covered.

What will be any different next year than this year or the past 20 years?

I didn’t say I expected things to be any different but at least we’ll have a couple fun sold out games with JD dunking over people and then we’ll finish 18-15 and get to sweat on Selection Sunday

Well, for starters, we won't have a so-called "great shooter" that disappears for the majority of the games for the last 4 years and yet still waited until the 11th hour to remove his name from the draft. I'm sorry, but great shooters don't consistently throw up airballs. He's a streaky shooter, at best, bound for Europe or the Soviet Bloc........ where's the Tylenol?

I’ll be glad when the Avery players are gone. Herb is the only one that cares about this team and gives his all every single game. The rest can hit the road for all I care.

We can blame this on Avery's players if it makes us feel better. I don't see much difference in Oats players. Not one iota of BB IQ in either.

I was a huge basketball fan up til the mid 90s or so.

I passed that numb stage so long ago, I don't remember what it feels like to be fired up in the months of February and March.

you aren’t wrong. But I just get sick of Petty and Reese. Reese kills us 9/10 times and Petty was an overhyped 5-star that isn’t even gonna make it to the NBA bc he relies mostly on his 3-point shooting as his “strong point” and he can’t even do that now. Petty is also 100% focused on himself.

Game day y’all. We get to blow out ETSU and pretend we are good for a few days. On a serious note, I hope we really come out focused. We haven’t been ready to play the last couple of games. We should be pissed off after Saturday and ready to take it out on somebody. Hope to see a complete game.

Absolutely agree on Reese. He brings nothing to the table.

Pettey's problem is he can't shoot if guarded and everyone knows it. He passed on the NBA because they passed on him and no doubt will do so again. I still wish him well and hope he gets a chance overseas.

He needs to go as much as any of them. He is a complete liability on the offensive end. I don’t understand trying to use him like Lamar Odom when he cannot dribble or finish with any kind of consistency. Herb does play great D, but he’s got to start taking a much much more secondary role on offense.

He’s been our only consistent scorer this year

True, but a lot of times it is cleaning up after he misses an easy layup, or after a teammate misses an easy layup!
