Another thing. How in the world do we hit an insane buzzer beater and not carry that into OT. Ball shoulda been in JQ's hands every possession. Screw UCLA. Hit 3 unbelievable circus shots in OT and kept getting those lean-in NBA style shooting fouls. It's pitiful for the refs to call the game one way for 38 minutes and then change it all up in the last 2.

One thing we haven't discussed much was that our defense only created 7 turnovers for the entire game. And I believe they had 5 at halftime. So 2 total turnovers in 25 minutes of play.

Whatever, it’s a stupid argument.
They reviewed it because the two refs were not in agreement on who it went off of. If it’s not under 2 minutes, it likely stays our ball. Tonight, luck wasn’t on our side and they saw it graze his shorts. It looked pretty clear to me they got it right.

Yeah, I was expecting with UCLA being a team that goes deep into the shot clock that we would get a lot of turnovers.

UCLA was 17th nationally in steals against. They don't give it away.

This is a really great analogy. We hadn’t been in this position a lot before. It definitely will help in the future for these young guys. Let’s see how they handle it next year. I do think the culture has changed a lot of this year and will be visual moving forward.

When Jaquez threw in a line drive 3 pointer while trying to draw a foul I knew the basketball gods wouldn’t let us win.

We got rocked in ot without their best player playing. That first possession for them instantly flipped the momentum and we started shooting bad 3s to catch up instanly

UCLA is a decent team, but not elite. Should not be in the elite 8 at all. Most every other sweet 16 team would beat them with exception of maybe Oral Roberts. But, even they played pretty well against Arkansas

Even without creating turnovers, I thought our second half defense was great. We made them earn most of their points.

That was the shittiest of their bullshite shots, but they had several. In the end, we didn't have our best game, and we lost to what appears to be a pretty good team. It was going to happen sooner or later. Later would have been nice, but it is what it is.

Man didn't want the season to end yet. Felt like we had more than we showed but still grateful for the season.

I truly hope we're back again next year cause I want to believe in Bama basketball and it was a great season. A 20 point loss or an OT loss, it's all the same to me. Looks like we have some good recruits coming too. I want us to win a championship in basketball and I really thought this was the year we could do it. Why shouldn't we be a powerhouse in basketball?

What a debacle. Hate to use choke job but after that performance at the line don’t know what else to call it. Some thoughts:
Hate it for Herb. He’s had a hell of career and I’m sure no one feels worse than he does but he was awful. Beyond terrible.
Congrats to Reese. Hell of a shot. He’s caught a lot of shite the past few years and some of it rightfully so but that was a big time shot.
Oats got out coached tonight. I mean what was the offensive game plan? Why does Shack, while sucking, play so many minutes? Where was Primo? And letting Herb handle the ball at the end of regulation over Q was inexcusable.
Sucks because I think we were the better team. UCLA is tough give them credit. I thought the Mexican guy was the best player on the floor down the stretch. Still as bad as we played, just hit a few free throws and we still win. Great season but it’s rough going out on a performance like that.

This is gonna sting for 24-72 hrs or so depending on how much money you just lost but in a weeks time I hope we can all appreciate this team fully for what it was. Very excited for next year and our first final four appearance having a full crowd of fans

I just hope we can start making the tournament with regularity. Shouldn’t be a problem with this system and the recruits we’re bringing in, and once you’re in it really doesn’t matter where you’re seeded if you can string a handful of decent games together.
