Taking a program that had made underachieving and choking in crunch time part of its DNA and turning it into these guys in year two is why Oats deserves national COTY.

Just curious, when was the last conference tournament game Nate Oats lost?
Technically he hasn't lost one at Alabama yet, although we probably know he wouldn't have won every tournament game ladt season.

Honestly Watford sacrificing himself and fouling Herb there probably would have been the smart play. Herb isn't an automatic FT shooter. If he misses one LSU's worst case scenario is OT. If he misses both then they get to shoot FTs and force us to make a 3 to force OT.
