Reese will never be one of my favorite players, but his effort has greatly increased this season and he must be a great teammate. The most disliked player award goes to Shannon Hale. Not sure anyone will ever take that title

Rumors that Frank Martin is done at Carolina.

Top target is supposedly going to be former Gamecock Mike Boynton, current Oklahoma State head coach.

I feel like this is almost indisputable at this point. He's the biggest cheerleader when he's on the bench and Oats has heaped more praise on him than just about anybody. Hope to see him make a big shot late against somebody in the NCAAT or even tomorrow to seal an SECT championship against LSU.

To have the offense be spaced properly, Reese has to shoot those 3s when he’s open (I think teams are leaving him open), but if he doesn’t hit 1 of his first 2 or 3, I really wish he wouldn’t shoot again

I would like it if they could figure out some other offensive role for Alex. When he get left wide open, he passes the ball or drives the basket and passes or even steps into a mid range that is better for him.

Reese’s shot looks like it’s gotten flatter every year. No arc line drives.

He did alright today though. He even made a play off the dribble against their massive Croatian dude.

I didn’t realize he was 1-5 from 3 today. I thought it was more like 1-3. Whatever, we’ll still go with he did alright today (and i agree with the general comments about him and his leadership, work, etc).

100% agree. Wasn't trying to imply that he shouldn't be taking them when they are there. He absolutely should. But I do wish he were making more of them. Imagine if he could hit them at a 35% clip.

And as a side note, one of my biggest wishes for the offseason is that Oats can figure out a way to make Gary a respectable outside shooter like he did with Herb.

That would be a terrible hire for them. They should give the Drake coach a look or go after Chris Jans.

Got to keep swinging Brother. With that logic he wouldn't have hit that critical three in the waning minutes.

That goes against everything that Oats is trying to build this program with.

No mid ranges. All or nothing and I like it.

Here’s the welcome-to-Indy team swag starter set teams are getting from the NCAA upon arrival.

Blanket, towels, puzzle, socks, @jessewashington’s John Thompson book (love that), copious amounts of soaps, hand sanitizer, deodorants and, of course, Axe pomade.

Just watched video from Dan Gavitt and Mitch Barnhart to all the NCAA tourney teams upon arrival:

Main points for players/coaches:

1) Keep six feet from one another as much as possible. Do not hang out in hotel rooms. If players want to hang out, do it in meetings rooms.

quote:

2) Be careful of what you post on social media.

“Don’t put your team in quarantine by posting a video of you or any of your teammates unmasked.”

quote:

3) Teams will be able to use nearby Victory Field (minor league baseball park) for exercise and to get fresh air.

quote:

4) Wear a mask basically everywhere outside of hotel room and private interviews.

And don’t wear it on your chin or around your neck.

Agree completely. The effect of his unselfishness can not be quantified. This is a very unselfish team. Hopefully, it will be a quality that helps define this program for a long time. I assume Coach Oats demonstrates it as well.

Releford. If he got to the rim I completely expected the ball to go through the net.

Ronald Steele also on that list.
