Yeah, Rojas could mostly just stop dribbling entirely

If he decided to be a role player who scores on putbacks and the occasional 3, rebounds, and makes some good passes (which is largely what he did against State) he'd be pretty solid for a bench guy. But he just isn't interested in being that player.

you aren't wrong. He has to know he's forcing it.

JQ is getting better about getting into the paint and he can just flat out shoot. Dude has been carrying us for weeks.

our defense. It's unbelievable. Might have to go back to TR Dunn teams to find some equivalent

Wimp had some really good defenses. They shut down a high powered Loyola Marymount in the Sweet 16 in the early 90's.

how good is Quinerly?

He is a stud and should only continue to improve.

Herb gets a lot of credit and deserves every bit of it. Guys like Petty, Bruner, Shack are also routinely recognized for their play and get their fair share of praise too.

Not saying that JQ doesn't ever get any praise or recognition, but he doesn't get nearly enough imho. Take JQ off this team and we aren't nearly as good or explosive or dangerous. JQ can impact the game in multiple ways that really no one else on this roster can.

Honestly thinking I might rather see Arky (though I’m fine with either), LSU is SHOOTING in Nashville so far.

And those two possessions are why I fricking hate college officials. Watford takes like 8 steps in the lane and nothing. Turns into a 3 for LSU. Arkansas kid shuffles his foot at the 3pt line and they are all over that like a fly on shite.

Honestly, that's on the coaches for not coaching him to be that type of player. Maybe they are and he just doesn't listen. Who knows.

if a player doesnt listen to what the coaches are telling him then that player sits. We got too many players on this team that we can afford to sit a roll player

I’ve said my peace about Gary and Rojas on here a ton, so there’s no point in just being a broken record. Oats is the man and knows what he’s doing, and clearly sees some things with Rojas that I don’t.

Pretty good game here. LSU definitely bringing it offensively.

Brunner can't sprint at full speed either. I wonder if he's really hurting?

In Rojas, Oats sees a big man. He has to play him some. We don't really have much size.

I get legitimately angry, and not just because a call goes against Bama. Half the offensive fouls they call are bullshite. Just let it go and stop training players to flop. Every time two players touch doesn't have to be a whistle.

Don't really care who wins this game. I have quite a bit more confidence in a matchup with LSU, but a rubber match with Arkansas would be a lot of fun and it sounds like the coaches and players would like the opportunity to play the Hogs again.

But I really hope that whoever wins today doesn't have the same shooting efficiency that both of them are having right now. Both teams shooting the lights out.

Kinda would like to see Petty jump into a defender that is out of control covering a three. He had several times he could have today.

More Oats on Primo: “We’ll try to get him back for the NCAA tournament at some point. It’s not something where he’s going to be out that required surgery or anything. He should be back playing this year, whether it’s tomorrow, next weekend, Sweet 16 weekend at some point."
