Two things can be true
1. Baseball is a streaky game and teams can look really bad for a small amount of time and then turn it around
2. THIS team sucks at fielding pretty consistently, leaves runners on base a lot, and goes very cold at the plate in general. Relief pitching also leaves a lot to be desired.

Agreed but no need in getting pissed when a team that has holes gets exposed from time to time. This team has the capability to get to Omaha but could also go 0-2 in regional play. Just the way it is.

Tell me when the last time a team ranked last in the SEC in fielding made it to Omaha. If it has happened in the last 2 decades, then maybe your “has the capability” holds by a tiny little thread.
ETA: turns out it was 2021 UT team, but they were ranked top 2 in nearly every pitching category and top 3 in the power hitting categories. We have neither of those let alone both.

Getting to Omaha is about getting hot at the right time. The bama team we saw against Florida and Auburn doesn’t have a shot at getting there??

This shouldn’t hurt too bad. UAB is actually decently ranked.

UAB. I was talking about tonight. Midweek teams was a reference to UAB, not every single midweek we've played. Though Southern Miss did beat our arse on a Tuesday but they're not a typical midweek team.

Texas pitching in Austin is just nasty so I wouldn’t read too much into that. Tonight was just an aberration.
And again, UAB needed this win far more badly than Bama did. Bama is in. They, UAB, are playing for their postseason lives and it’s not uncommon for really good mid major matchups to result in odd scores in these midweeks.
