I was honestly more worried about Adams confidence going forward. The #1 goal of that 6 inning should have been Adams coming off the mound with a 1-0 lead. If that hitter doesn’t swing, now you’re in your bullpen with bases loaded and no room for error. Almost every manager pulls the starter there and ensures that if a hit is given up to blow the lead, it’s not the tired starter giving it up. Really glad for Adams it worked out, and the pitch com incident probably helped mess up the hitters timing given all the foul balls.

I can’t believe we don’t have a better option than Torres at 3B at this point. That guy is beyond a liability at the plate.

Torres is a liability period

Hoping this is a mid season slump that we can break out of. Heiberger is broken right now.

Heiberger being #1 out of the pen is sad and pathetic.
Two blown leads in two chances.

Woof. Can’t hit and no BP.

He was pretty good prior to the Arkansas series. Something’s off or the tape is out on him this season (seems more likely something’s off since he’s been playing awhile).

Heiberger is just slinging the ball. He’s not pitching.

2-0 count, 92 mph fastball down the middle, and LeBron was falling over the plate after swinging extremely late and no where close to making contact. He got the walk, but we look bad

He’s going to struggle until he starts hitting the ball to the right side.
It ain’t rocket science, and the better teams will play the shift and pitch him away as he continues to hit 5 hoppers to the SS.

3 hits and 19 strikeouts for the Tide today
Move us out of the top 25 and leave us there, please.

19 strikeouts is actually seriously impressive incompetence

Bench the guys hitting under 220 in SEC play and build up the younger guys. I dont care what pre season hype they had.

These are the guys BA below 230 in the SEC games
Lebron 231
Vaughn 188
Osterhouse 188
Torres 186
What would their BA be in AAA ball be if they were not in college right now.

Baseball coaches know what they’re looking for. Baseball is a streaky quirky game. They know what LeBron is capable of and he will go early. My son was playing at Souther Miss and Ole Miss was there to take a look at another kid on his team. Our kid promptly crapped his pants and finger painted with it so they ignored him. Another kid on the other team went 0-3 with 2 Ks and missed several picks at first base. That’s the kid they pulled in to talk to. You don’t set your stock on a single season. These guys know what they’re looking for and what they want.

You must not watch many games over last 3 years. Adams seems to excel in these situations from my limited experience watching him. His shutout against Arkansas his freshman year and last year’s Georgia game are 2 good examples both he got in a jam but he got out of.
Listen to the Schloss’s post game, and you can add him to the list of managers who would’ve kept him in. I think he talked more about him than his starter today.
