Sears is two guard in on a one guard body. He is holding our offense back because he’s not fast enough to get penetration. He’s not a facilitator. We have a true point guard on roster. Hopefully coach corrects this. Sears’ defense is also putrid.

Mid November and we’ve arrived at “Mark Sears actually sucks”

That has nothing to do with this year. He’s been atrocious offensively. He’s stopping the flow of the offense. Why do you think Philon leads us in assists? He’s a true point guard. I’m not melting but the truth is right in our faces.

The fact that Sears doesn’t have a personal foul in this game, tells you all you need to know about his defense

He let his offense struggles impact his defense for sure. His body language hasn’t been good this game

This is an awful game by Nate and frankly an awful start to the season by him

The potential is there, and will probably show up big time by the end of the season.

Tonight was just another ridiculous 3 point display by a team who never shoots that well until 'Bama comes to town.

The softest refs you could have asked for didn't help, obviously.

Reid looking like a bust is a bit concerning. Was hoping he could bring some consistency

They can't handle the pressure of such a high preseason ranking, unfortunately. Hopefully, they get their act together -- players and coach.

Good stats, Goat. Looks like Stevenson was 3-4% better on 3s and FTs than Clowney. Not sure if he was a year younger than Clowney as well.

Either way, he needs to get his shot going

No, Stevenson is not a year younger than Clowney. It's hard to say that Clowney is a worse 3-point shooter because he attempted more 3-point shots than Stevenson.

Wonder if we get any "fire Oats" posts tonight?

Not a surprising outcome but I can’t understand why we let the same guy keep backing us down for that baby hook. He must’ve scored 16 points on it. Maybe trap him, maybe overplay that side and make him turn left?

They better get their shite together quickly. The schedule coming up is ruthless. Oatis has bitten off more than he can chew it appears.

Embarrassing. What Sears is is a very good college player.who will not make it in the NBA.

This team has not shot well last couple of games and it cost them tonight.

One of those games where you take lumps that other teams with easier schedules won’t. It’ll pay off down the road. I’m not that mad to lose to Purdue on the Road. It’ll make us stronger.

He made 2 more on 19 more attempts. That’s actually very comparable attempts

I didn’t see anyone say he sucks. I see people pointing out his deficiencies and I guess because he was our best player last year he’s exempt from criticism. I forgot Stevenson and are the only players we can point out when they play bad.

Sears was a liability down the stretch.
Philon was on fire and they played keep away from him the last 6-8 minutes.

No doubt. We struggled against Arkansas State and had a tough time against McNeese.
