If we had Omoruyi or Nelson tonight we beat these counts, Oats has to get some size next year for the tourney

Wouldn't matter. Our offense has a ceiling.

Our offense is keeping us in this, but we’ve got to figure out how to make their shooters uncomfortable or this could get away from us if we go through our tired legs 2nd half shooting slump

This was what I was afraid of. I’ve mentioned this a few times every year, but when we run at our pace and shoot as many 3s as we do, you have to be DEEP to keep legs fresh. Our 2nd half shooting struggles against teams that make us play hard all game. Shooting 3s with tired legs is a terrible strategy unless you’re a tremendous offensive rebounding team. We aren’t

It was a valiant effort they are a 15M team and we went cold. Is what it is. Proud of these guys.

This reminds me of the Arizona game in Birmingham back in December. Decent first half, then fall flat in the second

I haven’t looked at the recruiting class, but there’s no low post presence in it either right?

Good season, met expectations and exceed them given Holloway's exit

We weren’t beating UM on a night they shot ~50% from 3.

We needed a big shooting night and for them to be avg or worse.

Incredibly proud of the S16 run given the roster limitations.

Philon and that's it.

Nate gonna have to self scout like a mother this off-season.

Calipari already knows getting size is the only way to get a chip.

If we lose out to kids because of NIL I can live with that.

We maximized our potential for all it's worth this year, and for that , I am damn proud of the players that played even 15.

The ones like Bristow can kick rocks.

Yes we are very proud.
But Oats has to learn from these repetitive defeats. That is the disappointing part of this year.

I think Oats has to tweak the types of players he gets, but he is the best coach in Alabama basketball history already and it's not even really close

So...any chance Philon comes back? lol

Going to miss him...interesting to see who can be the alpha on next year's team.

Yup

We are a pretty good team but they’re a legit title team. It is what it is. Still a good year

Our path to victory was shooting well in the 2nd half. We've gone cold basically the entire 2nd half. I feel like they are playing tough on defense, but they are arguably the best team in the nation and you cant give them that many chances. Kind of amazing we are only down by 12 to be honest.

Boz I can’t agree. With a few tweaks we win this game. Oats allows too much offensive freedom at times. Sherrell is launching too many threes. We kept the lead from Philon getting downhill. 2nd half we went away and I honestly don’t know what Nate’s plan was or even if he had one.
