Tua pressed at times. MAC throws a pretty good deep ball.

Tua would have been knocked out in the first half

Watching Arkansas earlier in the day, Chizik said they just let their D read/react. They don’t complicate things. Saban’s halftime speech made me think he watched that too and that’s what he was saying he was about to do in the second half. Stop complicating things and let them just play.

I gave you one upvote, and one downvote.

But i agree. In this offense Mac is better. I think Tua is more natural and has more talent, but Mac is a lot smarter and prepares himself 10 times better.

Proud of 2nd half effort by the defense. Zero 2nd half points, created some big turnovers, batting down passes, much more intensity.
Another great gameplan by Sark executed by Mac & dynamic playmakers.
Props to our OLine. Also we've finally got a dependable kicker.

Guys, I need to apologize for what I said when we were losing.

I might've said we need to fire Saban, things got weird for a bit and I blacked out.

Let's be honest. This game was over when Reichard nailed a 52 yarder.

There's just certain signs and portents you don't ignore.

A greater power was on our side after that.

I wonder what happened at halftime. The defense got a second half shutout. That’s huge

Something major happened at half time. Defense had glimpses of old. Who made the adjustments and calls. They needed that, maybe they get their juice back now.

Mac Jones is a sniper. So impressed.

I can’t believe UGA did not score in the 2nd half

Georgia played a bad first half against Arkansas and Tennessee. This is their 3rd bad half. Only game they didn't have a bad half was against Auburn

Only scored 3 points in the second half against them actually.

Two things. Somebody, and I think it was Saban, got in the locker room and calmed the defense down, simplified some things and challenged them. They played much more within themselves the second half and it showed. Still a lot of work to do, but that was a good start.

Secondly, and more importantly I think, they made Bennett uncomfortable in the pocket, made him move around more with the batted balls and some pressure and he made mistakes. If we don’t get him thinking, he would have stood back there and continued to carve the defense up. But we got just enough heat on him to put him on the move where he’s not as good at making plays. That was a good adjustment and was key. I kept thinking that if we ever hit him hard a couple of times it would rattle him.

I'm cautiously optimistic on the defense after the 2nd half adjustments. However let's not forget that Bennett is a former 2 star walk on. He's by far the worst QB we'll see on a top 5 team. We gotta keep improving on D.

He plays well in their offense. The difference is we got pressure at good times and that was enough to get him throwing some off target shots. Most QB’s, Trevor Lawrence included can throw whatever they want when playing inferior opponents. As everyone saw last year, when Lawrence was pressured he caved.
