DeBoer has shitcanned an underperforming coach each of the first two season. He demoted our 2024 OC to bring in a more experienced OC for 2025.

I don't get why people act like DeBoer is trying to run some payola scheme for his friends. He leans on his connections but every coach does. Nobody complained with Saban brought back that chump Lance Thompson at least two - maybe three - times.

Hope it all comes together and 2026 is a banner year.
It was more enjoyable to expect than it is to hope.

Bama sent out 11 offensive linemen and brought 10 in to go along with firing the OL coach. You can't say DeBoer just sat back passively. He's clearly trying to fix the problem.

Troll. JC Hausenauer former Alabama OL at Alabama played under him at Pittsburg. said he is an excellent coach, great recruiter and technique coach outstanding at breaking down pass rushers.

Did I say there was one? Did I say there wasn't? Did I say he was a bad choice? Did I say he wasn't?

Hopefully he'll be a homerun hire and we can keep him for a few years before he gets snatched up by another school or goes back to the nfl.

This, 100%.

When it was announced that Kane would be the DC, I liked the hire. Some of the downers around here complained about him being a no-name hire. Turns out, he’s pretty good.

Klemm is a legit solid hire. Within two years (provided he’s here that long), the OL should be noticeably better.

Klemm has accomplished a lot more than Kapilovic based on resume. Klemm has been around successful OLs and offenses in general. His limited time at each stop is my biggest concern because A) will be looking for a new guy in two years B) did he just inherit units on the cusp of being good then bailed?

However, no denying that Klemm is an upgrade if you're just doing a resume comparison to the outgoing OLC.

Klemm was handed probably the worst group of OL talent that I've ever seen in my lifetime as a Steeler fan. Maurkice Pouncey and David DeCastro, two long time pro-bowlers both retired the year before, they let Alejandro Villaneuva their LT walk and go to the Ravens and the RT left in free agency as well. They Steelers backfilled those guys with two mid-round rookies and a couple of long-time journeyman. They were not a good rushing team, but Najee Harris still managed 1,200 yards that year.

He wanted them to be more aggressive and attacking. The line wasn't nearly as dynamic scheme-wise as it was under Mike Munchak, but then again Munchak was maybe the NFLs best OL coach for more than a decade, so it's hard to be too critical.

He clashed with Matt Canada, and if you saw the Steelers offense under Canada, it was totally called for and may be a positive about him. Keeping Canada for three years should have cost Tomlin his job.

He demoted a first year OC for Grubb, both of whom were previously in that structure.

That’s not shitecanning . That’s shifting a staff when your better option becomes available. And he was fine, I don’t think anyone was rattled by the OC in 2024. Playcalling was fine.

Bro... recruiting isn't a thing anymore.

The most important things are:

1A. Money
1B. Good coaches
1C. Talent evals, especially on portal players

sadly, as of this post he still hasnt fired the most proficient special teams coach in history. proficient at teaching players how to avoid all blocks. oh well, maybe he's just a fire one coach a year kind of head coach.
