Freaking whiners. It’ll def be an improvement over what we got.

It would be hard to not be an improvement over Kap. I'm just a bit wary because I looked at Kap's resume two years ago and had a bad gut feeling.
The bouncing around on paper is concerning. It seems there are some good qualifications on why and he had a lot more notable successes than Kap ever had.
I still hope we bring in another OLC, preferably an old salty technician type that doesn't want to recruit...just wants to coach.

He sure doesn’t seem to stay anywhere more than a year or two which is a bit of a red flag to me.
He went from coaching the OL in New England and the NFL and now he is an analyst at USC?

He was a Belichick guy and when Belichick was asked to leave NE, I would imagine he was too.

Belichick could hired him at NC this year, but hired former Tider Will Friend

Can any OL coach overcome a scheme where we set our 340# lineman back on their heels, hand the ball off to a RB standing stock still in the shotgun 6 yds deep? Oh, and that's after we call out the Mike, shift, go in motion and then look to the sidelines so we snap the ball with 1-2 seconds on the play clock so the DLinemen can tee off like a missile.

I would imagine moving forward we would not be having any 340-pound offensive linemen. Therein lay one of the problems.

I mean with Matt Patricia as the OC it must have been the O line coaches fault. He must be the reason Bill-a-chick got canned

Hard to trust any staff decisions late Belichick made. He is clearly not really locked in anymore. More worried about chasing tail.

He’s different than what we had. To me that was the main agenda item with regards to the staff.
As far as judging him on his resume? I’ll just wait. There is good and bad and none of it matters because it’s the past.
And for those who revere Pendry, that’s fine. But remember, if you’re old enough, that there was a time when the message board majority thought he was a bad hire coming from the NFL and early on wanted him canned too.

Who the frick wants to work for Belichick's clown and pony show
Should be a green flag he wasn't hired or took a job for that dumpster fire at UNC

Trying to make the perfect call, audible, and shift every single down absolutely has to kill any explosive momentum gained.
And defensively, I'd love it if our linemen weren't still doing 'check with me' when the ball is snapped.

He was in charge of OL when Mac Jones was at New England. Ther was stretch when they were playing well.

Adrian Klemm was in New England one year: 2023 when they were circling the drain.
My big concern is that he isn’t really a talent developer. Never stayed anywhere long enough to get a full picture.

But that’s just it, you don’t KNOW. You may suspect he doesn’t but honestly, you don’t know.

How quickly a great coach makes us forget.

Right. That’s why it isn’t a slam dunk hire. Could be good. Might not be good. However, I know the last guy was not getting it done so the unknown is preferable.

He coached some pretty good lines at Fresno. Had a really good line at Oregon. Is that a “guarantee” that he’ll do well in Tuscaloosa? Nope, but then again, I used to tell my employees if they want a guarantee, buy a toaster.
There are very few guarantees but odds are, he’ll be an improvement over Kapilovic and that would be a good first step.

Info on Adrian
USC is hiring former New England Patriots offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, according to CBS Sports. According to the LA Times, the Trojans are hiring Klemm as a defensive analyst.
The move marks Klemm’s first job since his unusual departure from the Patriots organization. Klemm stepped away from the team during the 2023 season while dealing with a “major” medical issue.
Klemm’s leave of absence lasted through the end of the year. The circumstances of his health issue have not been reported. Assistant offensive line coach Billy Yates took over for Klemm during that period.
That following offseason, Klemm was one of multiple assistant coaches who did not return to New England after the team parted ways with Bill Belichick.
Klemm’s brief tenure as offensive line coach was marked by issues. The Boston Herald reported that Klemm confronted Patriots director of player personnel Matt Groh “early in the season in a loud exchange that reverberated through the organization.”
Klemm had been a highly sought-after assistant heading into 2023. The Patriots reportedly made a strong push to hire him away from Oregon, where he had coached offensive line.
New England initially interviewed Klemm for their offensive coordinator position before reportedly giving him a hefty “pay raise” to pry him away from the Ducks.
Klemm started his NFL playing career as a second-round pick in 2000. He played five seasons in New England before spending with with the Packers and Raiders.
