We’re 11.5 point favorites last time I looked … the problem is that some people have lost their minds after last Saturday. I’m pissed off after last Saturday but I haven’t lost my mind.

What have you seen from this team that tells you they’ll respond to this positively? If they couldn’t be bothered to give a shite against a bad Oklahoma team with the playoffs on the line, why would they care about the Iron Bowl? Few of these guys grew up Alabama fans, they don’t give a shite about beating Auburn.

I’d say that this team is the most responsive to negative press and perceived disrespect of any Alabama team in recent memory. They’ve played their best when the discourse is negative or an opposing player popped off. They’ve played their worst when people expect them to take care of business.

I don’t really understand how we only scored 3 pts against a bad Oklahoma team, but I have to believe they are in correction mode this week.
Killing three drives with interceptions doesn’t help especially with other team bleeding clock and limiting possessions.
Speaking of only 3 points I’m assuming Alabama sent some sort of inquiry to the SEC regarding the horseshite illegal touching call that wiped Ryan Williams’ TD off the board. I’m sure the SEC officials are taking it very seriously and will make sure it never happens again.

Alabama has had some very bizarre officiating actions in their games the last few years, legalized sports betting exists in more states than ever, and Alabama is a program that likely invites a lot of betting action. Furthermore, collegiate officials are hobbyist not professionals.
I’m not saying that I know Alabama is facing point shaving on the part of the officiating. However, the confluence of circumstances and the peculiarity of bad holding calls on clean pancake blocks, DPI flags that depended on the result of the play, and that call in the Oklahoma game last Saturday got to make you ask the question.

2022 in Knoxville immediately comes to mind. How in the name of God is Jason Autrey allowed to officiate SEC football games. The SEC is going to lose fans because of this ridiculousness.

It was 24-3 in the 4th when that call was made. The spread was already beat at that point.

Nip a comeback in the bud before it starts right at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Playing chess not checkers.

This is the most bizarre conspiracy of them all.

You think Bama was going to score 35 points in the 4th quarter?

I agree. However, complaints about bizarre and poor officiating is not unique to our favorite team. It is going on broadly and I think leads to questions like this that may be spurious however very hard to disprove. Furthermore, the question of doubt in the fairness of the sport is poison.
I hate to be the "I'm just asking questions" guy but officiating quality is at an all-time low it seems.

No, you're right about that...though I guess it could factor on people who bet second half total or something.

Probably the most arrogant 6 loss team I’ve ever seen.

Heh -- check out their board. Most of the earlier comments are along the lines of "how stupid can we get" and most of the later ones are along the lines of "all in." No bonus points awarded for guessing who the head "all in" poster is; that one is too easy to rate bonus points.
