Name the teams that only scored 3 points on OU. Milroe matched the offensive output of mighty Temple.
1) refs took away 7
2) hard to score when your defense is letting them control the clock
3) OK had a top rated defense, and a horribly rated offense
4) Milroe isn’t a good QB, but OK knew exactly what was coming and were jumping the plays. BV used the bye week and obviously picked up on signs or tendencies…that’s coaching
5) Milroe still isn’t a good QB, but there were dropped passes that killed drives.
6) our defense lost that game as much as our offense, if not more so. If they shut down OK’s offense the way other decent teams have, our offense would have had more opportunities & might have gotten in a rhythm or at least the OK defense might have gotten tired. I expected our offense to struggle against their defense, no one expected our defense to get utterly humiliated.

If BAMA's offense had more opportunities OU would've scored 40.

Funny, but stupid take.
Our offense can’t play from behind, because our OL are fat and can’t pass pro against undersized speed rushers. If defense did their job against a horrible offense, we never would have been in the situation to only pass where Milroe is likely to to get sacked or throw picks.
We should have won that game 13 to 10, but our defense was an embarrassment (and our offense was very poorly coached…with a limited QB).

You can call whatever you want, but a bend don't break defense that has a tendency to get dominated in TOP and an offense led by a dude who is as likely to produce a 3 and out or turnover as he is a TD drive don't work well together.

You're right don't let people with agendas get you down. I wonder how those 3 dlinemen feel in the 4th qtr.

How many turnovers does it take for it to be a good performance by a defense? How few points? Because the goal post keeps getting moved.

How can you win by 10-13 when you only score 3??
The defense was an embarrassment but the offense was poorly coached? BAMA's offense scored more points for OU than they did for BAMA. Does it hurt to be that stupid?? Or do you not realize it?
What would it take for you to say the offense was an embarrassment? Just curious.
Edit: BAMA's defense gave up fewer points (10) than BAMA's offense gave them (14). But the defense is the embarrassment? You're dumb AF if you believe that.

lol…calling someone stupid when you can’t read. You’re a treasure.
Read it again, not win by, win with a score of Bama 13 and OK 10. We should have won a low scoring game against a good defense.
As for embarrassing offensive performance, the lack of blocking on the WR screen that caused the pick and the number of missed blocks was embarrassing. But a truly embarrassing offensive performance would be putting 10 points or less against a defense rated as low as OK’s offense was rated. That hasn’t happened at all this year.

I'm gonna be honest why we allow people to call names is bullshite. They should be banned. We are supposed to be pulling for the same team and because some people can't accept that there are more than one issue with this team they freak out.
Man up make your point, leave the name calling out of it.

You know the offense and defense can be shitty simultaneously

I'm sure this made sense in your head but that's the only place it makes sense.
The defense is top 10 in points allowed and turnover margin. To call that embarrassing is DUMB as frick.

Bro, he’s definitely right about at least 2 out of 3. Vandy and OK ran straight through our defense. Name the teams that gave up over 250 yards rushing to Oklahoma? I’ll wait
OU and Vandy ran a lot but I would not classify their approaches as power run. They used a lot of misdirection and option to make the defense wrong.

Some of these clowns don't know the power run from a home run. Don't waste your breath.

We really struggled mightily with run fits when motions and misdirection happen. That is a sign of a defense with a lot of players who are playing in it for the first time because the assignments get muddier when the formations are changing on the fly and such. Experience would likely ease these issues.
To be frank, I think I think the 3 man front is fine when we're trying to 2-gap and free up the backers and safeties to clean up the runner. The issue is the backers and safeties aren't consistent in their assignments.
My outlook on the defense in 2025 is positive if they can get a handful of fringe underclassmen to stay instead of go pro. Retaining Keenan, Lawson, and Campbell would be huge. The secondary is going to be much better next year. Really need to find some depth at the Wolf LB/DE and DT in the portal if at all possible.

Saban ran a 3 man front. 3-4 is a 3 man front. What I hate about our defensive alignment is constantly giving 10 yard cushions. We had a 3rd and 3 last night and gave their receivers a 10 yard cushion

Saban ran 3-4... I believe Womack runs 3-3-5, but could be wrong. If I'm wrong, someone will be along shortly to correct me. The cushion given last night looked like a big 12 defense at times.

Vandy just stuffed UT on 4th and 1. I can’t remember the last time I felt like we had a chance to stop a decent team on 4th and 1.
Considering we stay in a 3 man front in a lot of short yardage situations, why would you think we have a chance?
