Heard Danny Kanell on Sirius this morning talking about the hotel situation in Tallahassee that weekend. Places are charging upwards of $1200 a night.

Interesting. Here in Alabama it's been the coolest spring I can remember. It hasn't gotten above 83 here in Birmingham this month. The average high has only been 75 for May and was 77 in April. I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

230pm kickoff in early September in the panhandle, it’s gonna be hotter than the sun in Tallahassee most likely.
That really needed to be a night kickoff.

For $1200 a night in Tallahassee I better be staying at the Zeta sorority house.
It’s not like it’s Starkville where there are 3 hotels, it’s the state capital of FL.

I live not far from B'ham and it has been in the high 80's several times since the middle of April. Going by my instruments at the house, not what they say on the news.

The good thing about a 230pm kickoff is that you don't have to get a hotel right by the stadium. I'm thinking of going and if hotels are that expensive (and I just looked and saw one for $145 6 miles from the stadium) you can just stay an hour away for cheap and drive in. Same for after the game. Unless it's a 11am or 8pm kickoff you can drive a bit.
