I’m not upset but firing a coach who has done a good job instead of allowing him to get another job and leave with dignity doesn’t seem to be a point to f argument. Either way you’ve moved on.
From the looks of things, we may not have the full story. Might be some extenuating circumstances.

There’s no need to worry about the offense. That’s 90% QB problems.
I’m telling you wait until next season. We will look much different.
What we have to worry about is Wommack being stolen after next season.
DeBoer looked pissed 90% of the time the cameras were on him. He knows we were limited by Milroe but he was loyal to him to a fault. (Told him he would be the guaranteed starter to prevent locker room problems, but it didn’t matter at end of year cause receivers were sick of Milroe.

DeBoer can’t win for losing … if he doesn’t fire the specific people some in our fan base want him to fire, and people wouldn’t care 3 cacas if he told them to get out of their offices in 5 minutes and had security escort them out, he’s doing things in a disrespectful manner
Good Lord I’m not complaining, I’m not upset. I’ve been a huge supporter of DeBoer. All I was pointing out was it was different than what we’ve seen in the past. I prefer to have empathy and compassion for individuals. That’s all this is.

You can’t develop guys if they are going to chase the bag every year. The OL and DL more than any other position except maybe QB need time to develop and adjust to the college level. But if you can’t keep them around for more than a year or two, how do you do that?
to a degree, maybe? But we keep having oline fail in the NFL because of technique issues. Our oline keeps getting whipped because of coaching issues.
since it's all about money in recruiting anyway, hire the guy who can coach them up. a great recruiter isn't going to beat out a bag at another school.
a great coach can take 3 stars and make them competitive. Dudes who wouldn't be getting a bag anyway. Technique and experience beat talent.

Interesting that he got fired. Also saw where he got replaced by the coaches friend

This this this, just look at Washington’s draft. class last season. They put multiple 3 stars in the pros.
Bernard will be a 2nd round receiver imo. He was open all year long and has hands.

That could be. I’m not upset he’s gone. Just commenting on how differently things are done now.

Looking deeper. There was an article posted that delved into Grubb's troubles, and most of the comments are defending him. Most of them want to fix their oline then see how he does.
That being said, maybe they'll fire Huff, I'll certainly take him over our current dipshit.
I just typed "Ryan Grubb" into my search engine and the first article that popped up said:
"Complaints have become whispers, and rumors have become convictions that the Seahawks could part ways with Grubb in the coming days. We have no reports of which to speak, but I place myself firmly in the camp of those who went from summer optimist to putrid disappointment. Like with rookies, it’s hard to project what specific NFL nuances will be difficult for somebody to pick up, yet Grubb’s steadfast refusal to attempt a consistent run game outside of one drive against the Chicago Bears was not something I had predicted.
It was fun to dream about what the University of Washington’s success could look like in Seattle. Instead, it was an uninspired disaster much of the time, and leaves the offense with massive questions yet unanswered heading into the offseason."

NFL is an entirely different beast. Many a great OC and DC have failed there

You mean like this:

Sark was a rather mediocre OC for Atlanta before he returned to Alabama in 2019. It didn't go quite as poorly as it has for Grubb but Atlanta sort of squandered the last few years of that 2010s core with Sark. He has consistently been considered one of the better minds for offense in college ball though.
I wouldn't be surprised if Grubb came back to college and did well at that job.

Different position

I'd be shocked if he left NFL, he had a pretty good year by all accounts.
First 8 games of the year, they had a top-10 offense. The rest of the way playing a harder schedule, they dropped to mid to low-20's in the league in every category. They'll likely finish this year with less offensive production and points per game than the last two years and the falloff as the year progressed doesn't trend well.
He's also with a heavily defensive head coach and staff. You have to bring the entire offensive philosophy and player evaluation to the table in that scenario. This is just a rumor, but apparently he did not partner with the GM and director of player personnel on player evaluation on a level that they thought he could. In the NFL, the OC on a defensively led staff has to be the conduit for player evaluation, free agent signings and make recommendations for potential moves. He's been more of a "work with what you give me" type of guy.
OC in the NFL is a huge role, not just a play caller and strategist. Really difficult for a first time role in the league. Guys like Kingsbury that are OC's now that came from college, spent time as HC's in college and are more used to deeper player evaluation.

that is real, that is very unprofessional and immature from Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. Taking a shot at a guy on the way out is the kind of thing a head coach (or any boss) should not tolerate.
Imagine an 18 year old male being immature.

They learn to be mature 19 year olds and 35 year olds by being told that immaturity is not acceptable. Immaturity is not an excuse for immaturity.

I didn’t say it was acceptable. Only expected.

Bernard could easily be a late first rounder with more targets next year. Reminds me of Sterling Shephard who went early second before the fifth year option drove WR value up

Kapilovec and Sheridan should be next
But I'd bet he lets Sheridan bump down to just QB coach or something. He and CKD have been around each other for a long time.
