KD is basically turning over the staff and installing the remaining Washington staff.

We are the Alabama Crimson Huskies.

But yes bring on Grubb.

I'd be shocked if he left NFL, he had a pretty good year by all accounts.

Maybe they know something, but probably just speculation. I think most of their legitimate sources at UA are probably not there anymore.

That said, if Grubb get canned I think it would make a lot of sense for DeBoer to try to bring him in. Along with Scott Huff.

It was noticeably much better after the Vandy game.

Seahawks were middling at best this season. I’ve only heard Grubb in the rumor mill, nothing substantiated.

According to X there is about 3K post just thrashing the guy. Apparently they didn't have one pro bowler on offense with Geno Smith, DK, Locket, and a few other of the fan favorites. They speak on there like his firing is a very sure thing. Now this is just fans, so take it for what its worth.

Was that because the ILB's coached by Saban for two years were allowed to finally go free? Or due to coaching?

The main gripe we had up till Vandy was that the ILB's we're waiting for contact every play and not hitting the gap like we had coached.

It’s not been good. Their offense has been cratering for the last two months. Book got out and he’s not shown the chops for adapting to counters from NFL DCs

Just searched his name on twitter, and he apparently will almost certainly be fired this year. Seahawks fans really hate that guy lol

Dude took a destined to fail job just so his wife wouldn't have to move. First time HC with a background on defense paired with a first time NFL coach as a playcaller was never going to be a productive marriage.

When the players you coach react like this, it was probably not a "really dumb move" to fire the coach.

So maybe it falls under the "unless he was fist fighting dudes" part of my post. Or maybe it was a Dre Jr. personal thing. Hope the reasoning ties to the former, because, whatever he was doing, guys were responding - he was coaching either the best or second best unit on our team.

T-minus a split second (from the tine this news broke, so maybe already happening lol) until some BOL regurgitated insider BS about how someone else actually started coaching the safeties at some point this season (or that it was all Linguist) starts picking up steam though.

His QB is Geno Smith, who was already figured out last year. Plus the Seahawks line was atrocious and still hasn't recovered from Ole Pete

Currently going through the Seahawks subreddit and it's a very different tone than this. They are mostly blaming John Schneider for not spending on the OL and injuries.

The only legitimate gripe i've seen was the disappearance of RB carries and the lack of play action, but the time to throw being so abysmal plays into that

Looking deeper. There was an article posted that delved into Grubb's troubles, and most of the comments are defending him. Most of them want to fix their oline then see how he does.

That being said, maybe they'll fire Huff, I'll certainly take him over our current dipshit.

Side note. Something I noticed in the bowls, Bama, UGA, and Tenn, all got bullied in the trenches by the opposing dlines. As a conference we've lost our edge on the OL and DL which is what made us special. We collectively need to stop hiring recruiters at every position, and start finding actual coaches to do some development. Or the trend is going to continue.

If that is real, that is very unprofessional and immature from Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. Taking a shot at a guy on the way out is the kind of thing a head coach (or any boss) should not tolerate.

Why would we want Grubbs when all he is going to do here is to look for the next OC job to leave town. His wife doesnt want to be here, so whats the point..

Keep our OC, replace the OL coach. Shephards gotta teach them boys to block and quit being their bestie, and we should be good.

You can’t develop guys if they are going to chase the bag every year. The OL and DL more than any other position except maybe QB need time to develop and adjust to the college level. But if you can’t keep them around for more than a year or two, how do you do that?

Why?

Empathy, compassion for a guy who seemed to have done a good job with a very young secondary. I’m not upset but firing a coach who has done a good job instead of allowing him to get another job and leave with dignity doesn’t seem to be a point to f argument. Either way you’ve moved on.

People get fired everyday, and are paid much less than this guy.
