His original evaluation was as a TE. He was a 5-star TE. He refuses to play TE and will only play WR. He's not a 5-star WR. He never would have been rated a 5-star WR.
Except in his whole career including HS never played TE only WR.
Also the reason he stayed when Saban retired was is DeBoer told him he would move back to WR and not play TE.

Yes you are correct with some of our posters who fail to use something as simple as Google before posting.

Was doing pretty good in the spring wasn’t he?

I thought he was and was excited for his potential especially the matchup for his size.

don't understand Prentice and Law entering the portal.
These kids want to play for the NIL. Ryan Williams will lock down a WR spot for the next 2 years so they read the writing on the wall where they could transfer and make more money potentially

Guess we won't see him next year on 9/13.

Remember when Deboer was hired and players were leaving for the portal and it was about empty it was so late in the process. I hope he can pull some transfers with the extra time.

Would be a homerun get !!!

I hope DeBoer remembers what he went through and sets out to poach players like other programs circled our roster last year.

Coming off a torn ACL suffered in our game against them. Not sure he would be fully healthy even if he was with them.

Pass. Stick with Russell and Mack. Then go to portal for depth after spring evals.
Bonus if Ty or someone else on current roster still sticks around for depth.

Saw Shea Dixon mentioned Jaheim Oatis is trending towards Colorado, which is fitting

He’d get out of breath easily at that altitude LOL

I see a trend of players who transfer with multiple years of eligibility tend to transfer multiple times. Maybe they should be a little more introspective. Perhaps they are their own problem.

I’m convinced a lot of these kids get terrible advice from people who often don’t have the kid’s best interest at heart.
Hanging in there and persevering are lost attributes with a lot of kids these days.

No doubt. The majority (and I’d guess it’s closer to “nearly all”) of the blue chip players have representation from an agency or “professional” agent. I put “professional” in quotes because I’d guess a good number of these agents are a family member / friend and are completely UN-qualified to guide and represent these players.

That is and always has been the case. Lots of these guys are seen as a meal ticket by the people who are supposed to be looking out for them.
