Minter with 2 innings and Matz in the 8th was huge. Smyly was fantastic- kept throwing strikes. Duvall coming around. Freddie heating up.

We going to the world series baws I've called it for a while now this a destiny team dammit- bring on them cheating stros

Not to get ahead of ourselves but if we do finish this series off I think we beat the Astros.

They have a slight advantage offensively but we have a massive advantage pitching wise IMO

I really have no idea what's going on with the LA coach. Why would he let Uria stay out there and get his brains knocked out in a game they really needed ?

Meanwhile, Snit made all the moves that he didn't make in game three, and we got the W because of it. Congratulations. Stick with hot hand for two innings, and use your best bullpen arm in the 8th inning vs the top of their order. How hard was that ? Well, anyway congrats snit on actually managing the bullpen appropriately and bringing this team a game away from the Series

Because tomorrow was always going to be a bullpen game for them and they couldn't afford to burn through 6+ arms again last night. Which is why the decision to use Urias out of the pen in game 2 was so insane. They knew the series was going to a minimum of 5 games at that point because the Braves took game 1, and they knew that game 5 had to be a bullpen game for them. So why on Earth would you risk limiting how far Urias could go in game 4? Honestly he did a fantastic job of limiting the damage as much as he did. His velocity was way down and none of his off speed stuff was tight. He was just throwing junk and trying to hang on.

That was a huge win. I thought the Braves would come out flat and lay an egg.

But the Dodgers look tired. They spent a lot of energy trying to chase down the Giants in the regular season and, they failed to do that.
It appears as though they are out of gas. They used a lot to beat the Giants in the NLDS.

I hope the Braves score 20 tomorrow.

No mercy.
The King is dead. Long live the King.

They really do. They were practically in playoff mode for all of September, then had to win the WC game late, then went to 5 in the DS with the Giants, and now find themselves down 3-1 in the NLCS. We need to get up early again tonight and see if it kills their spirit. In an ideal world we will do the anti-Atlanta thing and Fried will swing a bat before he throws a pitch.

AA much maligned by some for not landing any trade deadline big names, looking like a runaway winner for GM of the year.
Here is the key trades AA made to put the BRAVES in the great position they're in.

Minor leaguer Bryce Ball for Joc Pederson.
Minor leaguer Kasey Kalich for Jorge Soler.
Minor leaguer Alex Jackson for Adam Duvall.
Washed up Pablo Sandoval for Eddie Rosario.

All 4 acquisitions have recently had seasons with 30+ home runs.
Soler leading the AL with 48 as recently as 2019.
All 4 guys bring a big bat, loaded with confidence, not intimidated by the name Dodgers across the other teams uniform.

Well said Canyon. Braves wouldn't be here without his phenomenal trade dead line moves. Let's finish these bums off tonight!

Soler back but I don’t think you can mess with the lineup.
