Can’t see how this doesn’t t look bad on on UGA and Kirby. You have a kid committed in Beck, and you reach to get Young to visit “quietly” the week before ESD. Did they let Beck know that they were actively looking? Did they track out to any other QB commits like DJ or Bailey? Or did they just focus on Alabama commits? Oh and for the UGA lurker that likes to downvote and copy/paste these comments on the Rant...frick you.

I will say this about a solid TE. It’s a nice luxury to have but certainly not a necessity. The caveat to that is a good receiving TE is a young QBs best friend and a security blanket. When the shite is hitting the fan, a young QB can always dial up a TE seam.

Why? Kirby was exhausting all resources to get the best player at the premier position to visit? I'd be disappointed in our coaching staff if they didn't do the same.

frick UGA.. Kirby is a slime ball. I actually respected them somewhat before him.. how he acts now is ridiculous. I was pulling for him until his shite.. no wonder no other coach could ever get along with him on Bama’s staff. There is a way to be competitive and still be respectful to your past. Dabo does it, and many others. Hell I even have more respect for coach O. At least he is self made and not a copy cat bitch version. I can’t wait to kick the shite out of them next year, and if we ever fall out of the dynasty I would route for anyone but them.

Nothing in Kirby’s history would contradict that thought. It is the same guy that took a picture of the Alabama board before he left. He has been negative recruiting against everyone else, especially Saban. It is going to bite him in the butt.

What makes you think in Saban’s history he would ask for a “quiet” visit. Go back and read the article. Bryce’s father said that Saban was upfront and stayed in contact with the family. There was no secret we were recruiting him. Let’s not forget that Beck was once committed to Alabama. Saban is known for not negative recruiting players. He will only talk about Alabama and how they can help him. Kirby is starting to ruffle some feathers and it will bite him in the arse.

I have a few thoughts on this as well.
First off, I don't blame Kirby for trying to upgrade the QB talent on his roster. That's his job.
I could understand him trying to keep the visit "quiet" from the Alabama staff. However, if his intent was to keep the visit "quiet" from Carson Beck then Kirby is a huge piece of shite. And when I say huge I mean a colossal piece of shite. Beck has been committed to Georgia for a long, long time and to try to over recruit him without his knowledge at the last minute is fricking disgusting. Having said that, we don't the specifics of who they were trying to keep the visit news from so I can't comment either way.
I do know they were actively pursuing CJ Stroud because it was all over their 247 board and their board here. Why the secrecy for Young, but not Stroud?

Actually, Kirby has the Georgia 247 and Rivals mods wrapped around his finger so he could have definitely kept a Bryce Young visit quiet from their perspective. He did it with Quay Walker two years ago. They absolutely do not let any information get out without Kirby's permission. It's quite impressive if you think about it.
Rusty Mansell and Kipp Adams were both reporting about CJ Stroud leading up to ESD so that part is true. My question, again, is who were they trying to keep it quiet from? Carson Beck or Alabama?

Alabama.
Young is more likely to take that visit if he knows it won’t get back to Alabama. There is far less blowback.
Carson Beck knew UGA was recruiting other (and more highly rated) QBs. Stroud in particular. Stroud wasn’t committed anywhere, so that wasn’t kept quiet.
Jermaine Burton visits were kept quiet for the same reasons.

Honestly don’t see the big deal unless Beck was not told about it. Kirby’s job is to the get the best players he can for his roster, just like Saban’s job is also.... Now if he went behind Beck’s back without speaking to the kid, I can see why someone would be mad.
