BOL Insider: Alabama after grad transfer TE? (BamaOnLine-VIP)

3* TE Nakia Griffin-Stewart 6-5/255 NJ (Grad)

Bama is evaluating Griffin-Stewart as a potential grad transfer addition and working on setting up a visit to campus. He enrolled at Rutgers in 2015 during Kyle Flood's tenure as HC, played in 25 games, recording 13 catches for 97 yards and a touchdown, and is on track to graduate in May, with one year of eligibility.

He looks ok. Wish he coukd get in her now and workout with the team. Certainly better than a 3 star kid in high school.

Eddie has some impressive highlights.Good size and speed. Wonder if he will end up at Georgia OR CLEMSON as that seems to be the trend. Was impressed by Centrals QB.
Quick easy accurate motion.Looks like a strong arm too. No wonder LSU grabbed him.
We definitely need to get Evans and WILLIAMS this year.
Do we have any native Alabamians on our staff anymore? Kelly?

If neither Smith or Ruggs struggle with injuries they could get first round grades as well and

Not to be contrarian, but two posters have said this in the last couple of pages. Are you guys reading this somewhere? I just can't see either of these guys as a first round grade yet. Ruggs would probably a 2nd rounder right now, but Smith might not even be in the top 3 or 4 rounds at this point.

Jeudy will likely be the first receiver taken. He'll go very high.

Jeudy and Ruggs could be the 1st two receivers taken in the 2020 draft.

Ruggs is a great receiver, just as good as Jeudy. They are both up there with Cooper, Ridley and Jones.

I thought Neal had dropped even more weight? Thought he was in the 340 range now.

Yep. I read somewhere (BOL maybe) that Evan Neal has trimmed to 340 and Shane Lee to 235.

Ruggs is probably a better athlete than JEUDY. JEUDY is better as a receiver right now.

When Ruggs runs the 40 yard dash at the Combine, he will probably become a 1st rounder.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he becomes one of the top WRs in the country this year. He's REALLY REALLY good already, and is still just learning the position. With that incredible athleticism, the sky is the limit.

I actually agree with you here. Ruggs is an elite receiver, just overshadowed by an even more Elite jeudy
