This is where I read about the current draft grades for Jeudy and Ruggs:
LINK
I am certainly no draftnick (so don't expect any draft grades from me, lol), but:
- Jeudy seems a unique talent. His after-the-catch speed reminds me of Jerry Rice, seriously. Those huge strides and acceleration once he has the ball in his hands.
- Ruggs' ability to catch contested balls is something that sets him apart as well.

According to this article, EJ Williams grew up a Dawg fan. Also has visited the Clemson campus 5 times. Mom is a Gators fan.

Am I the only one who feels uneasy about recruiting these days? One the one hand I really like the new coaching staff, also in terms of recruiting prowess. But on the other hand: Georgia has become such a recruiting powerhouse (and not only in their own back yard). Pruitt is coming on strong as well and adding guys like Tee Martin and Ansley makes Tennesse look even stronger. And Clemson is becoming even more attractive to recruits with all their success, stability and positive vibes around Dabo.

I'm not worried about EJ Williams. We've always recruited the WR position well and we continue to do so. Justin Ross is a fine young player but some of you act like you're broken. Rather, Justin Ross was going against a broken CB in Saivion. Clemson has a lot to offer but God damn we're the NY Yankees of college football! And, some of you all need to act like it. Stop acting like a bunch of mealy mouth pansies.

Alabama just inked the #1 class. And has the #1 ranked class for 2020 so far. Yet some people are panicking because Tennessee is improving on the recruiting trail and Georgia isn’t a one hit wonder. There have been mainstays and Johnny come latelys in the recruiting battles since day one of the Saban era. Some of the pieces may be different but Alabama will be just fine.

I get your point and even agree with it to some point, but comparing Alabama with NYY seems off, lol. The Yanks have been underwhelming for years. My point about Bama is that teams are catching up with us (which is indisputedly true. CNS corrected the recruiting issues. Now let's see if he fixed the coaching issues (DC and ILBs). Bama did not look like itself. We got Bama'd against Clemson and Saban missed on the DC hire last year. That concerns me. But again: new coaching staff looks great.

Comparing Alabama football to the Yanks is apt. We are Gucci-label sports brands if you will. You can throw the Steelers, the Patriots, the Lakers and Celtics in that category as well.

Clemson benefits greatly from playing in a bum conference where they can practice for Bama virtually season long. But, time brings a change and one day the Florida schools in the ACC will be competitive again. We got "Bama'd against Clemson?" That's simply not true

Hi Saint, thanks for adding me to your thread (and to the coaching thread)! I see way too little football over here in The Netherlands (only game they show live on tv here is the Super Bowl: from 1am to 5am) so I hope I'm not bothering you guys with too much nonsense. Gr. Steve

I forgot: safe travels & enjoy Korea!

Keep asking questions. It gets kind of slow in here during this time.

Ansley isn't considered a really good recruiter. That was his main issue at UA. Had the ABILITY to be a good recruiter if he wanted to be, but he was a bit lazy. CNS had to take him off a couple guys and have Tosh and others pick up his slack with them because he was losing ground due to laziness.

True. There is no news. After 2 signing days it feels like going cold turkey. And I keep waiting for 'VanBasten9' to post something. Marco van Basten is a former soccer player from the Netherlands (80s-90s). Interesting to find that name on a Bama forum...

Here is (stupid?) question: college coaches have to work crazy hours because of recruiting, esp. when working for intense guys like Saban and Smart. So, why would a guy want to move from an NFL job to a college job (like Ansley going from the Raiders to Tennessee). Is it for a chance to move up in the coaching ranks and eventually to a college HC job? Can't be for the money, I assume, although I have no idea what NFL position coaches make.

Many reasons but the biggest I would think is its easier to coach someone who doesn’t make more money than you. I truly feel Saban and others like to try and be a difference in kids life.
