You know that was the last game I ever watched with my father.

I'm sorry for your loss. Time doesn't heal any of it, but it gives you the tools to deal with it.

Keith Jackson always called Bama games great!

Yeah, still remember my two favorite lines from him that game...

After Lassic scored Bama's last TD, Jackson said something like:

With 6:46 to play, I think I heard the door slam.

And then a little bit later, the classic line from that game:

And they're starting to dance in Opp and Eastaboga, Cullman and Montgomery...

Don't think anyone could touch him as a college football announcer...

It was rough at the time. I'm the one who actually found him, thankfully it wasn't gruesome. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I wouldn't be the person I am today, if I wouldn't have gone through it. You make the most of the cards you're dealt and don't use excuses.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I just shed a few tears for you. That is downright heroic, though you probably don't see it like that. I'm a fan of you.

I really didn't do anything. My mom and I had gotten home and it was dark outside, so she unlocked the garage door so I could wait there while she got the stuff out of the car. I walked in and reached up and cut the lights on, and looked over and thought, "Why in the world is Dad sleeping in the garage on my sleeping bag" I ran over to wake him up and then realized something was wrong. Ran and got my mom and she looked in and we left to go to my grandparents house. My grandfather and uncle went back up and called the police. It was just confusing for a kid.

'12 for the repeat, and a bludgeoning of the Irish.

The SEC title game that season was one of the best football games I've ever seen. That offensive line was so much fun to watch.

'12 also established the dynasty. That was the top of the Mountain for me.

Bless you brother. Nowhere close to what you endured but I had to identify my uncle like that for the police when I was in school. My grandma called me cause she couldn't do it.

I won't ever forget the Southern Miss game that year. Ugliest game I ever saw, but you could see how elite that defense was in that game

92 is special to me because it was the first title I ever witnessed. Watched with my grandad that night and he said " bear would be proud of these boys". Years later tho 2009 meant just as much because that feeling came back. Then that defense in 2011 came and reminded of 1992, but even better than 92. The things that 2011 team overcame before the season even began was amazing and inspiring.

I was living in Hoover and in my early 20's. I had a blast watching the game at a massive party at my friend's apartment.

I had 2 other friends from the gym who actually went to the game. They went out the night before the game on Bourbon street. His drunk friend was getting arrested and he made the mistake of grabbing the cops arm to ask why he was under arrest. Cop beat the shite out of him and he spent the night in jail and couldn't make it to the game.

Morale: Don't touch cops in the French Quarter (or in general). also, Don't do stupid things the night before the National Championship game...
