2009-present = 3
Just reminding everyone.
Nick has a Heisman winner for every other of his home losses since 2008.

Bryant probably should have had at least two guys win it. But politics of the 1960s.

Lee Roy Jordan and Johnny Musso were both worthy of the Heisman in their respective breakout years.

Palmer; he finished third in the 93 Heisman Trophy voting ,maybe should have won it, at least he should have second in the voting
Jay Barker was better than the top 3 in 1994 and Jay finished 5th

Reminder that after Smith winning, Auburn officially has nothing they can claim to have 'more of' than Alabama.

(after Alabama's 33-32 win over Ole Miss(Archie Manning) in 1969, Coach Bryant made his feelings known about "shoot-outs".
"Coach Vaught told me that on the field after the game, Coach Bryant said to him, 'That was the worst goddamn game I've ever seen,'" Rogers said. "He said, 'You're right, Bear.'"

Shaun Alexander not being a finalist in 1999 was criminal. Dude had like 1,600+ AP yards and 26 total touchdowns.

Looking back, it really was a travesty that Tua didn’t win in 2018. It was a straight up due to Bama-fatigue.

There seems to be a lot of "want" for a defensive player to win one the past couple of years but no one has really grabbed the spotlight. If DT were playing right now and had the 27 sacks like in 88 I think he would win.
