Remember Huddie, some of these guys are on record for wanting Tua to transfer.

And the Jalen ‘18 push has already started. I knew it would.

Surely not many reasonable Alabama fans wouldn't be enthusiastic about Tagovailoa being the starting quarterback. I know there are some that are on the fence, and I know at least one said he hoped Tua would transfer.

Hope your right bro. I usually don’t worry about stuff like this but Tua imo is as good a qb prospect at Bama as I have seen in my lifetime. He, along with the 3 Freshmenh wrs can be special

No offense taken but the article has more in there and if you read it then you’ll get the answers that you seek.

Who wouldn’t be excited to see Tua start? The young man has an incredible skill set and upside. Also who said that they hoped that he would transfer?

Well, I don't really want to start in on that again. It's in my post history for anybody that just really wanted to know. I am pretty sure, anyway, that he'll start more shite talking and provoke me enough to post it again. Honestly, I wish Saban would declare Tua to be the number 1 guy, or Jalen would declare he's willing to try another position, of just pretty much anything to settle the masses. At that point, it will stop being a point of contention.

edit: And the guy that said he hoped Tua would transfer may actually be excited that he may be the starting quarterback. Some folks talk shite just to argue. Seems goofy, I know, but like my Mama used to say, there's no accounting for some folks.

Speaking of folks just wanting to argue, it flips me out how many people claim they don't want to do that, but will perpetuate that very thing by provoking others that don't share their opinions.

Jalen should transfer or redshirt. Tua will leave after his junior year. That would give Jalen a shot in 2020.

How screwed would this board be if Mac Jones comes out of Spring looking like a combination of Peyton Manning and Steve Young?

Can we just nip this whole this whole Blake Barnett thing in the bud. He sucks. He sucked here. He sucks at Arizona State. He wasn't good. He isn't good. He should not have played instead of Jalen and neither should Bateman. I'm sure he's a great kid blah blah whatever, but he stinks as a QB.

That's all.

Perhaps, though it's subjective. What is not subjective, though, is the fact that in his limited play, he didn't turn it over once in a real live game. That throws shade on the supposition that turnovers or the lack of them is the primary reason a quarterback will or won't play.

Oh yeah, and without reviewing the stats, I think Hurts had 3 or 4 fumbles and an interception in the games that Barnett was here.

Other than that, it's a moot point looking forward, because Tua Tagovailoa is apparently wayyy better than Blake Barnett.

I was front and center at the USC game. I mean first row and directly behind the bench. BB looked scared as frick out there. Lost and sped of the game and atmosphere had him rattled.

The reason that talking about Tua's mistakes bothers me, and seems so petty is because he just won us a national title by replacing our less-skilled starting QB, putting up 26 points and a miraculous play in OT against one of the best defenses in cfb in his first real action as a starter, after being thrown into the fire at halftime. Despite his mistakes he looks like he'll be the best QB in college football next season. He's certainly the best QB Alabama has had in decades, and possibly ever.

The reason so many people were criticizing Jalen Hurts is because he sucked at passing the football, and made our offense one-dimensional, and painful to watch vs decent defenses.

We're comparing apples to oranges here. The 2 QBs couldn't be more different, and there's no longer a "situation" at QB. It's settled.
The only thing undetermined is whether Jalen will transfer, or stick around as the backup

Then that means Barnett had bigger issues.

Let's think about this.

Jalen Hurts played last year, in spite of the fact he fumbled 4 times and was intercepted once, though there were other quarterbacks, including Blake Barnett, who turned the ball over 0 times in the same (real live)games.

Tua Tagovailoa is better than Jalen Hurts in every metric used to measure quarterbacks, save possibly running the ball, and many of the message board pundits say he didn't play more or start because he supposedly turned over the ball in practice.

Yeah. Makes perfect sense.

I need a link to posts that stated this, please. I don't recall anyone saying Tua was fumbling the ball too much in practice, and that was why he didn't play more during the season.
