Wow. Congratulations, man. You are clearly a clairvoyant.
No one rationally expected Barnett to stick around after losing the job. Maybe he pulled the trigger earlier than expected. But most people figured the loser of the job would move on.. especially BB having already redshirted.
And there were a LOT of people who knew Jalen, a true freshmen, could lose us a game in the 2016 season. Sorry he was the best QB on the roster at that time, and it didn't happen until we played the best team in the country.
But again, this was all you. No one else had any idea.

Link that for me.

What I do know now, for a fact is that in an interview in December 2016, after Tagovailoa committed to Alabama, he said (I paraphrase) that Saban assured him the best player would play, regardless of class, and that if everything works out he will be at Alabama after the next year. This insinuates that if it doesn't work out, he'll be gone.

It's in my post history somewhere and I have it saved on another computer.

Link for me where his family said a transfer isn't going to happen, regardless.

Actually, I was kind of amazed that so many people denied what I thought were pretty obvious observations. But deny they did. In fact, I was called foolish, a rival fan, and several other silly shite, because so many had this pie in the sky attitude that it was all good and honky dory. Wrong answer.

How would you like to see his younger brother at Auburn? That would suck.

Wouldn't really care as long as we are set.

I said that if Tagovailoa didn't play in the playoffs he might transfer even before spring. Several unbiased observers, including Lane Kiffin, later said that would have been the case.

That still sounds completely retarded.

It’s a good article that details the support that family has for one another. They discuss how different it was seeing their son on the sidelines and how they know he made the right choice of coming to Bama

2017 Stats Jalen Hurts 17 TDs, 1 INT Tua Tagovailoa 11 TDS, 2 INT

So over a season, Tua would be around 40 tds to 8 ints.

Tom Brady’s ratio is 4 to 1. Maybe The Patriot’s should draft Jalen.

The ratio is applicable for QBs who try to make plays.

Well, on SEC COUNTRY Saban said “ we have two good qbs on our team. Both made great contributions to the team .....Haven’t made a decision and don’t think we have to right now. Hopefully they both can help each other out in the future. “ Hope this is coach speak. Be a damn shame to screw this up with Tua

The ratio, like most QB stats, are extremely overrated without looking at the plays in context.

Basically they say they knew what he was up against playing time wise, test of faith, patience but they’re happy here and know that they made the right choice. It’s a great read.

That's reasonable. When spring practice rolls around, though, the projected first team will practice together. My guess is that Tagovailoa and Hurts will share time with the first team. By the end of the spring we may have an answer but even if we peons don't, the quarterbacks will have a good idea where they stand going into the fall. As I have said before, if Tagovailoa isn't the projected starter going into the fall, I think he'll transfer over the summer, perhaps to UCLA, whose coach is now Kelly, who coached Mariota.

edit: I think it's a moot point, because I think Tagovailoa will be the clear #1 coming out of the spring.

Oh, I'm sorry ... I didn't realize we could play "what if" with actual stats. I took your statement at face value, that the TD to INT ratio was what mattered.

I also didn't realize you can skew the stats based on whether a QB was trying to "make plays." What metric does one use to determine that, exactly?

I am in awe of your debating acumen.

Like you do? Maybe you should count dropped passes in Tua’s touchdown total like you do for Jalen

Which, no offense intended, is not the same as "Tua will be at Alabama regardless"

edit: I do, though, think Tua will be at Alabama next season as the starting qb, and I think we're going to have an awesome offense.

Making a play means actually throwing the GD ball.

And Tua played the equivalent of three games this year.

And which, no offense intended, is exactly the opposite of "Tua will transfer."

Remember Huddie, some of these guys are on record for wanting Tua to transfer.

And the Jalen ‘18 push has already started. I knew it would.

It’s a mental disease.

I hope you wear a back brace when you move the goalpost like that.

Serious question, because I honestly don't know ... who wanted Tua to transfer?

I'm not seeing a push for Jalen to be the starting QB in 2018. I'm happy to be proven wrong on that, though.
