Most definitely the major cause but doctors can be really weird about assigning a death directly to cancer semantic wise. I just had a relative with cancer suddenly have a general chest infection that led to a cardiac arrest that then led to his death. Doctor said wasn't technically the cancer (which was not in the chest) but the fact that his immune system was on the very brink from the cancer. Just made the chest infection infinitely harder on him which caused the heart attack. So technically it was a heart attack.

All you have to do to see this in action was when so many people were listed as dying from covid. People with stage 4 cancer or obese as hell caught covid an died but the doctors and hospitals said "died of covid".
