I understand supporting a college player when they make a mistake but the pros are paid. Its a job and they are supposed to do their job well. This guy made a huge mistake that cost the franchise a chance at a Super Bowl. This was probably Brees' last best chance too. I don't really get all the sympathy.

It says we love the saints not you Marcus

No LSU player should ever want to play for the saints under bama pajama payton.

Marcus is already on vacation and living it up while Saints fans are on a crusade. I've never seen a more triggered fan base, seriously. It's really strange.

Look this kid made one of the biggest most boneheaded plays in New Orleans Saints history but, that don't change the fact that he had an awesome rookie season. S Marcus Williams even had an INT in the game after the Michael Thomas TD and he finished the season with 4 or 5 INT's. In time Marcus is going to be a perennial Pro-Bowl player for us and hopefully with this talented young nucleus we can make another run at the playoffs next year.

How does it relate to Jason David? Plus, Jason David was a coverage corner, not a safety.

peanuts4brainz; Stop it! It's obvious you are no more than a armchair coach. He played lights out all year. Can you name the last DB drafted by the Saints who had 5 INTs in year one!? PJ Williams is in year 4 and he still gets roasted every Sunday! As a matter of fact, Marcus has more picks his rookie year than PJ has had in his entire career! and you say fire him!? Get outta here dude. Your comment has no merit, no class, and no leg to stand on!

Everyone makes mistakes - even those who are paid to do a job. You must either not be employed or have never made a mistake at work. Which is it? Inquiring minds want to know.

There is nothing wrong and forgiving the mistake made but damn they are going out of their way aren't they to stuff sugar up his arse. It's like they are thanking him for screwing them lol.

Isn't that belittling? "Dat's OK." NO THE F^%$ IT ISN'T OK!!! I'd be pissed if I was Marcus. That sign makes it seem like he's some young kid who put a scratch in Daddy's shiny new car. He cost a group of professionals a playoff win bonu$, a shot at the ultimate goal for their profession, and a shot at even more money/prestige along the way. Not to mention Drew Brees may not have another chance at that 2nd title that seems to separate the greatest QBs from good QBs. I'm hoping they can build on this year and win next year, but chemistry was working until Williams decided to go head down and wide left.

Had this been Ingram fumbling into a walk off scoop and score In the playoffs, Saints fans would want his head in a pike.

This guy getting a pass I don’t get it. If I ruin the near future of my employer they fire my arse, that simple. Why is he above criticism?

He isn’t. They choose to support him. And your employer can fire you for whatever. The Saints choose not to. Don’t be mad about it.
user avatar
chitiger9175 months
Well he’s a loser that single handedly ruined the legacy of their best employee and thus tarnished the entire franchise. Very irresponsible to keep that around, will cause future confrontations and drive this team to obscurity.

Well it is what it is. Even if the tackle they kick a field goal a play later

Tackle the guy inbounds - game over.

Actually, make the tackle and the clock runs out...no way they get set up quick enough. But "Dat's Okay" because we love our Saints.
