Sean Payton wants to come back and whoever hires him will be hitting the ATM for it. According to The Advocate's Jeff Duncan, Payton is seeking a four-year contract with a yearly salary range of $20 million to $25 million. That'd make him the league's highest-paid coach...

Is it a recent deal with coaches being traded like players? Peyton's contract clock is only running if he is coaching the saints?

The Bangles should fire their coach and hire Payton. He's holding them back and hurting Burrow. Sean Payton would slay with Burrow and his offense would add years to Burrows career.

Hate him or not he and Drew brought a lowly New Orleans franchise to a level of consistency over a span of 15 years we won’t see again in our lifetimes. Let’s be fortunate we got to feel what winning a Super Bowl title feels like.
Saying all that he sounds like he has picked up Crack as a side habit.

They guy was two horrible calls from being in two more Super Bowls. He ran an awesome team to very consistent winning. Even when Drew went down Teddy went 5-0.

SP was only successful bc of Drew Brees. He didn’t develop one Qb he drafted or brought in. He bailed when Drew retired bc he knew they fked up the roster.

Drew Brees wasn't exactly lighting it up before he got to the Saints. Yes he was a solid qb but his trajectory wasn't the hall of fame career that he accomplished under Payton's coaching and offensive play calling.

Not to mention, that was with a Hall of Fame QB. Even then, there were many squandered years of just missing the playoffs. Once he loses his HOF QB, he was crap. As a matter of fact, this year's offense was better (in overall NFL standings) than Payton's last offense.

Well to be fair, there are not a lot of HCs who most would consider the top NFL coaches in history that did not have a HOF QB for the bulk of their success. Modern coaches at least. Joe Gibbs, Parcels, Bill Cowher didn't. I'm sure there are a few more but they are the exception to the rule. Most HCs in the HOF had a HOF QB when they made their mark. If you are going to take the credit away from a HC because they had a HOF QB, you are not going to have a lot of successful coaches left to give any credit.

4 year contract isn't long enough to rebuild any team that would be interested in paying that kinda money for him, IMO. Broncos need way more time than that with ole washed up Wilson at the helm
