His man has been targeted 25 times on the season. Those passes have gained just 80 total yards, and only five have come in the past two games.

This is incredible.

What is more incredible is when dumbass Mike Shula tried to pick on Delane late in the last game. They tried going deep on him, which of course didn't work. Then, for the life of me I'll never know why, they tried to isolate him on that 4th down play. I laughed at the stupidity of that. I guess Mike Shula is still going to Mike Shula.
A friend of mine is their D-line coach. He says that Gunner, of course, is receiving tons of attention, but that they as a family haven't said anything yet pertaining to where he wants to go.

You apparently haven’t seen ours.
We got to see him here the season before last. We go to a lot of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos games (AA affiliate of Miami). We got to see Cam come in for a little relief. He was consistently throwing 101. He would usually have the first guy swing and miss. Usually the 2nd pitch might be fouled off as the batter was trying to start catching up to his timing. Then with a 0-2 or 1-2 count, Cam would throw a filthy slider and would strike out the batter. He did this to like 6-7 straight batters before they replaced him. You could tell that he was on a fast-track to The Show. Glad to see him getting there now!

Great, but I can give you 8 reasons why I wouldn't trade my program for yours.

Jacob Berry Always surprised he's not in the show. Dude looked like a major leaguer at the plate in college.

I think he’ll be there soon. He’s rated as one of their top prospects and they are looking to move him up.

He struggled mightily in the beginning of his AA campaign. He started hitting much better on the back half of the season, and was subsequently promoted.

He also struggled a ton defensively. He made many glove errors, and occasional throwing errors from third. He also looked very stiff and wasn’t at all agile to the ball. He did seem to improve a little more, defensively, as the season went on. I’m not sure if he still projects at 3B or maybe they’ll try him at RF or DH in The Show once he gets there. Someone like Project may know.

That was our experience with Tre last season. We had a chance to see him in Pensacola when he was playing with the Mont. Biscuits. He saw my kids' LSU gear, and came over and talked with them. He took a good bit of time to talk with them, sign balls and a mini helmet for my son, and took photos. Very nice young man. It made an impression on all of us.

Similarly with Jacob Berry. He was playing with our Blue Wahoos. After a game, my kids lined up for autographs. I gave a quick "Geaux Tigers" and he looked up with a huge smile, ear to ear, and pointed at us and said: "Yeah man! Geaux Tigahs!" He then came over to sign for my kids, and talked with us a bit. You can tell he had a tremendous amount of LSU pride, which was great being that he was only with us for a short time.

I can't wait to watch both of these guys in The Show, hopefully very soon!

YES! Of all the guys in the portal, this was the one I was probably most hopeful for. I think with Yeskie working with him, he can be great.

Boots Garland on running

This guy! Ha. What a riot he was. I remember him being quite crusty and salty, but cool at the same time. He was a hell of a motivator because you would be scared of him.

I remember that he would often do the talk to the group in the mornings before we got after it. I remember him saying stuff like: “The National Pastime isn’t baseball… it’s transferral blame!! Everybody blaming everybody else for their own shortcomings “. Etc. lol. I was a kid, but I remember him pretty clearly.

Once, he had us on a running session where he explained how he wanted us to get into running form getting out of the batter’s box, and how he wanted us to run down to first base. So then he proceeds to watch us as we would take turns rubbing one by one. He’d bark orders, etc. One guy in our group did in fact have a little awkward running form. When this kid ran by him, Boots yells: “Who the hell shot this guy?!” lol

The Skip Bertman camp was the GOAT camp for sure!

Sure! It's a great place to FaceTime recruits and say:

"Playing at LSU puts you here!"

Great pitcher, and even a better dude!

Last year, I brought my boys to a Pensacola Blue Wahoos game (AA Afiliate of the Marlins), to watch Tre Morgan and Gervase who both were playing for the Montgomery Biscuits.

Both of my boys were waiting for Tre Morgan to come out of the locker room, to get his autograph. Which he did, and was extremely nice to my boys; talked briefly with them; took photos with them, etc.

Gervase walks out and sees us wearing our LSU shirts. He says: "Awesome! Tiger fans!! Thanks for coming out to see us!" He walks over immediately to sign balls, etc. He was very humble and says something along the lines of: "I know I wasn't quite the pitcher at LSU that some of these others were..." To which I replied: "Man, you were a stud out of the pen for us! We desperately needed pitching that season, and you were great! As fans, we could always count on your reliability. You were a Tiger, and always will be a Tiger!"

He took a half step back, made a huge smile, and said: "Really?! Ya'll thought that much of me?! Thanks!!"

He went on to talk with my boys a little, and just carried a super friendly yet down-to-earth demeanor. I'm extremely happy for him, and to see that he is getting his chance in The Show!

Go Gervase, and

Mainieri would have never had a lead against this Arkansas team. As a matter of fact, he would have probably been Stoney-Brooked by Little Rock in the regional, only to say: "Well, that's baseball."

No thanks man. Were good with CJJ!

One side note, when Aloy took the force at 3rd, my son says "is this destiny"

My son looked at me right after and basically said the same. His jaw was dropped and he says: “Aloy just gave us the game. THAT is going to come back to bite them, and now, we’re going to win.”
