It’s only been a few months since former New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr announced his retirement from the NFL, but it appears that he’s already having second thoughts about it... (The Spun)

At least he let the Saints off the hook for his ridiculous salary.

Why would God want you to go play football?

Because God likes football.

This guy gets so much hate on here. Sure, he wasn't a great QB but he could've been the Saints organization over if he wanted. He let them off on his contract which he didn't have to do. I think that says a lot about him. Not a bad guy just wasn't a great QB. Not his fault the Saints were desperate and overpaid.

Doesn’t get more mediocre than this bum. Shouldn’t be allowed to quit/retire than come back to another after the stench of your career finally wears off

Hey Saints fans, pay attention to how much he gets paid if he comes back. Then compare it to the ungodly amount of money Loomis gave him about a year ago. Ask yourself why Mickey Loomis still has a job.

His retirement situation reeks of salary cap circumvention like the Clippers..except he wanted out, we wanted him out..really feels like we reached an off the books way to get it done

of course he is - he didn't want to be in NO, didn't like the criticism and took the easy way out. good luck to him, but that is the least surprising thing to come out of his mouth

He was injured and he did the organization a huge favor with what he did contract wise.

He will want to be a starter. Will be tough for him to find a buyer.

Did God want you to be a thief? Because you stole money from the Saints.

He’s only getting older… his only option is be an emergency backup guy and he probably isn’t teams’ top choice for that
