Thomas J. Russo-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN SportsCenter host John Anderson made some remarks about Urban Meyer as he stood on the sideline near the end of Saturday's Fiesta Bowl game...
quote:

“Look at Urban Meyer,” Anderson says. “He was going to spend time with his family, but went to this game instead.”
His daughters were not pleased about said comment...

Family can't take a joke. Probably why Urban didn't want to spend time with them.

This is a tough one. Defend urban or ESPN? F both of them. There I feel better now.

LOL! My sentiments exactly. The comment was a cheapshot, but Urban is a phony.

Urban did good. He watched the whole game and didn't fake a heart attack once.

John Anderson? Googled him. Saw 20 photos of him. Still no clue who he is. Just know that he is dogshit as a fact-checker. And too much of a media rookie to know to leave family out of his snark.

We won’t have to worry about this happening at the Championship game.

I remember when Urbans heart was too delicate to corch at Florida, so he retired to spend time with his family, aka take the head coaching job at OSU.

Yep, that’s the joke.

While that is the joke, I don't think it can be mentioned often enough.

He signed with Fox not ESPN and nobody at ESPN likes Fox. So yes it was a cheap shot. But dude should not lose his job over it.

Let's see... ESPN reporter takes a crap on a colleague, another is insensitive to Coach Ensminger losing his daughter-in-law to a plane crash and another broke the news of the death to Joe Burrow instead of in the team meeting. This is why I don't watch (outside of the games) ESPN. They have a humanity problem there.

I picture the Meyers reluctantly sitting around each other on Christmas morning while everyone is scolling twitter on their devices

Picturing Meyer's family on Christmas morning. Some of you need to examine your own lives. I can understand he earns the ire of many. I don't like Dabo, but I respect his accomplishments as a coach. I also do not picture him doing anything off the football field.

I'm not a big Urban Meyer fan, but I wish he'd go scorched earth on John Anderson. Something like, "I can understand the confusion from someone like John. For him, when he travels he has to leave his whole family at home and alone. It probably sucks to be poor like that. But, I brought my whole family with me for a week and we had a great vacation. In fact, I can afford to bring my whole family with me traveling every day of the entire year. But, I can understand how that is confusing to a simpleton like John Anderson."

Why does anyone give two shits when and where he spends his time? It has no direct effect on anyone anywhere, except a sports forum where people feel compelled to take some self induced imaginary side. Let the guy live his life for fricks sake.
