I'm guessing this is not the one in Natchitoches.

This would be the one right on the shore of Lake Michigan, near where the ice piles up on the shore in late winter.

I guess for a school with no tradition it's whatever, but it's just another step toward becoming the soulless corporate crap that dominates professional sports.

Dope, the future of stadiums for sure. That being said, I'll take Death Valley and its tradition any day of the week.

And the arms race continues. Which school will be the first to break a billion?

$850MM to watch a team with an overall record of 566-702-44. Taking Ls in style, I guess.

This plus NIL money should pull players/students there. Just not a traditional CF feel, so definitely another step into semi-pro direction. Players not student athletes anymore. Also, don't make the mistake of bringing in the new expensive top coaching staff the year it opens. Get them in a few years prior to get things moving along and the system in place with the JRs/Srs that have been on campus a few yrs.

Most smart money is buying players rather than glass and steel.

Why not both?

The problem is you need shiny trinkets to attract them. Think of it as after market wheels on a Charger. Yeah, they want the bag, but they want something to show in their insta feed as well.

Not only is the new stadium "sick," it is beautiful. Or "luxurious."

Good to see my alumni dollars well spent.

We usually go to one away game every year. I hope LSU schedules a game with them in the future

Northwestern has terrible football program, but I guess it must still be profitable enough to invest tons of money into. This is surprising.

Not really. They have a lot of rich almuni especially Pat Ryan who is a minority owner of the Chicago Bears.

I used to work for Pat. I’ve never seen anyone more invested in a program. It is his passion.

In the time I’ve known him I believe his net worth has gone from $3B to $11B. So he has money to burn.

FYI … I thought he would buy the Bears when Halas died but I think she might outlive him at this point.
