Deion Sanders: 'Jackson State football will cause temperatures to change, teen pregnancy to fall'
© Clarion Ledger via USA TODAY NETWORK
While on The David Banner Podcast this week, new Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders discussed the impact his football program will have...
quote:

“I want these young men to be professionals,” Sanders said. “They can be great fathers, they can be community leaders, they can be great sons, they can be whatever they desire to be…. I want these young men to affect change. When a kid comes out of JSU and matriculates out of our program, I want you to know he’s there. He doesn’t even have to open his mouth. Just the way he carries himself — the way he rolls back his shoulders, the way he carries his head, the way he’s articulating himself. When he walks in, the temperature should immediately go from 74 to 72, 73. He should cool the whole situation.”

“I want to provoke change in every aspect of that community,” he continued. “I expect the crime rate to go down, my brother. I expect teenage pregnancy to decrease. I expect unity. I expect the white, the Black, the Hispanic, the Asian, everyone to see each other at a game and strike up conversations they wouldn’t normally have.”

Here's the guy I want as my college's coach : "Sanders made the Yankees' Opening Day roster for the 1990 season. On May 22, 1990, Sanders became involved in a dispute with Chicago White Sox catcher Carlton Fisk. Sanders started by stepping up to the plate with one out and a runner on third, drawing a dollar sign in the dirt before the pitch and then failed to run to first base after hitting a routine pop fly to shortstop, trotting back to the dugout instead. The Yankee fans booed, and Fisk told Sanders to "run the f**king ball out" and called Sanders a "piece of s**t." Later in the game, Sanders told Fisk that "the days of slavery are over." Fisk was furious. "He comes up and wants to make it a racial issue, there's no racial issue involved. There is a right way and a wrong way to play this game." A race-baiting showboat. What a piece of work !

Biggest egomaniac I have ever seen. He wrecks everything he touches. He couldn’t succeed at the high school level, but now he will at the college level? He didn’t even attend class at FSU.

And he will bring in some talent, just like he did at Prime Prep.

You do realize it’s possible that people can mature and understand the bigger picture as they grow older, correct?

JSU has the No.1 recruiting class for small colleges for 2021. Do not sleep on his son at QB or the transfer the school received last year from Western Michigan. In two or three-years, he will be very successful at JSU. I am giving him four-years and he will take another job elsewhere as a promotion. Deion’s influence is not a joke anymore. Back in September, the university received over $19 million in sponsorship. The athletic facilities are being redeveloped. JSU also has the highest attendance rate for college football games at small schools - 30,000 plus. I was not Deion Sanders fan when he played pro football. Now I am based on how he plans to empower the lives of many young men, aside from JSU’s community. It is happening; believe it or not at all. I wish him all the best.

this is great to hear. Someone with stature saying that teen pregnancy needs to decrease and his players need to carry themselves with class and dignity. Thanks, Prime Time, I’ll be pulling for you. (and waiting for the SJWs to come after him for saying this stuff)

I see nothing wrong with what he's saying. Carry on.

I hope he is successful with his mission and I have zero problem with his attitude. Its a win/win scenario, parents will want their child playing for him
