re: How bad is our defensive coordinator?
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 9/6/21 at 12:26 pm to NamariTiger
The real issue is not the DL or OC, it is Coach O. He is running out of excuses - 10 wins save his job and calm down the talk. Under 10 wins, he will be on the hot seat for next year - if he survives this year.
As the CEO of the team, he is held to the highest level of accountability. He got complacent and the end-results confirmed it.

re: Honest question: Has Saban allowed any player’s parent to call into a local radio show?
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 9/6/21 at 12:10 pm to Captain Want
No Coach can control what you say or do as a parent of your child. Let’s be real. Right or wrong, parents will defend or protect their child. You must think Coach Saban is a saint.

Talk to Coach Baker.
re: Brady Quinn just picked UCLA

LSU cost him to lose a lot of money by not being the NFL’s 1st draftee of the draft:
It is still personal to him. Quinn had already STTD previously and will do it again today.

Stop hating on the young man. Jamal got his dream. He would not have been selected as 1st WR had he played last year.
Let’s cut to the chase: LSU lost close to 30 players from their 2019 Championship Team.
If you were him or his father, you would probably advise the same decision. The kid is very talent. Everyone is liable to have an off day.
You sound jealous vs. writing the b.s. that you are a fan pulling for him. One preseason game and you want to pounce on the kid like a woman named:
Karen
Let the kid finish his first year in the NFL. I am so glad that you do not make life decisions for America.

Cole Tracy Game Winning Field-Goal vs Auburn … that game on the road “Set the Tone” for the team’s championship run in 2019.

Nobody gave them a chance. They also showed some “Swag” that year and defeated UFC in the Feista Bowl.

Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 6/18/21 at 3:01 am to Nicktay225
Darius Days performance between June 19 -21, 2021 will determine his fate at LSU. He is one of 40 college athletes invited to participate in the G-League's Elite Basketball Camp.
He is ranked 12th among the invitees. Keep in mind, some of those guys are not even mocked to go in the second round.
LINK
I wish the young man a lot of luck.

re: Why did LSU win? (According to Oregon message board)
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 6/8/21 at 10:00 am to tigerbank24
Let’s not forget: LSU has a “Brand” in college baseball and that says it all, aside from having a strong tradition. Kids expect to win championships at LSU. Bottom line!
re: LSU baseball is garbage

When your school won as many championships as LSU (6) in NCAA baseball, say something then. Otherwise, you are "SIMPLY TRASH." No school in the SEC has half of LSU's championships. LSU is still the "SEC Premiere" baseball school. When Omaha, NE is mentioned regarding the College Baseball World Series, so is LSU baseball. Like it or not.

I am happy for kids having that options.
Keep in mind at some schools, your scholarship is renewed annually - Former Coach Saban has been known to introduce that policy in the Big 10 and SEC. Many coaches across use that undocumented policy to gain a competitive advantage.
Years ago, when a coach accepted a new job, he just goes without any consequences aside from a buyout.
Prime example, take the kid from Warren Easton who played RB that signed with Colorado last year. He signed with them to play for their former Coach Mel Tucker who accepted the same job at Michigan State University for more money. That happened after the last signing date in February. At one time, Colorado refused his release ... is that right?
If the coaches can leave, so can the kids.
That is part of the Free Enterprise system and it is not changing. Either you adapt to win and remain relevant or lose.

First they need to get into better shape as a unit, and improve their over strength through nutrition, conditioning, and weight training. Being fat and overweight shows no commitment for victory.
Then refine their techniques in their practices whereby it should be good against good. Meaning first team offense vs. first team defense alll spring and summer. That may improve play in the trenches where most games are won.
Go Tigers.

re: Where is Cam Cameron?
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 1/18/21 at 10:55 pm to lsufan4lifeMiles
Former Coach Cam Cameron reinvented himself and joined his wife as a Realtor in their joint business venture. See link below:
His wife is pulling the most weight based on her Real-Estate background, but Cam is also leveraging his connections to lure more resources for them. As a team, they are also heavily involved in local charities in and around San Diego, CA. He seems happier now. Wish him and his family the best.

Forde confirmed his poor journalism on the topic.
He behaves like an infection that wants attention. He grossly missed that one. No need to give him more clickbait.
F@@k him!

re: Why does O show his cards?
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 1/9/21 at 11:31 am to WDAIII
Coach O needs to be taught on how to communicate information via the media like his players. This is about the 5th time or more he said things to the media that was unnecessary within the past eight months. See below:
1. Showing support for Governor Bel Edwards and standing by his side at an event. That upset many Republicans and Democrats as for who team he was on back then. You cannot be on both sides of the fence.
2. Publicly supporting the President on national tv via Fox News. That was a slap in many of his players’ face. This was the first occurrence of losing the locker room.
3. A Spring Practice football comment to the local media: “Coach Pelini”s defense is better than last year’s defense.” That was a direct shot at former Coach Aranda who helped him win his first National Championship. That was LOW!
4. Pretending to know nothing about a BLM walk among some players and coaches to the local media. Now he lost the locker room. When you have some former players’ you recruited chimed in on you for your silence, that is not good. Coach O prevailed at the end.
5. Then announcing his top OC and DC candidates to the media - his power went to his head. Anyone that accepts the DC job knows he was not equally appraised as Coach Freeman. That action will cost LSU to overpay for a DC going forward.
No business man or an CEO plays his hand that way to the media or anyone. He has gotten burned several times by showing his arrogance.
I want to see the man successful, but he is creating his own drama via his mouth. Last note, one year during Coach O’s radio show, someone mentioned Halloween was forthcoming and he replied, “Halloween, I did not even know that it was this week.” Man you are not working that damn hard not to know, see or hear people discuss Halloween during the week.
He needs to work on sounding more believable before he is not taken serious anymore. Get it together, Coach O.

re: If Freeman turns us down do we offer it to Corey Raymond?
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 1/8/21 at 8:47 am to LSUDonMCO
Coach Raymond situation is no different than Coach Peetz’s with no experience calling plays. We have the same issue with both parties, but there is so much bias towards Raymond being given a shot like Peetz by fans.
He knows exactly what Coach O wants to do on defense. Just like Coach Peetz knows what Coach O wants on offense, and many of us as fans are alright with a new OC with no play calling experiences.
Let’s cut out favoritism.

What sad is having LSU fans following H.S. recruits and reporting and pasting their comments off their social media pages. Who cares?
Most of care about did they sign with us on signing day. Booms are teasers until they sign such as but are not limited to the WR and DE we lost on signing day.

Some of LSU’s OL and DL looked out of shape and played sloppy last year. These guy fat content are not checked and placed under a watchful eye. Fat players will not perform well without good conditioning for endurance. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Tighten that up, Coach O and Coach Moffit.
re: LSU legend Big Ben tweets opting out is quitting
Posted by City Park Tiger 2023 on 12/22/20 at 6:42 pm to tigerfoot
Was Ben calling out the Black football players since they are (probably) the majority that are opting out?
He usually does not talk that way. I look at him no different than RC on this board.
As an LSU fan, this is disappointing on both of those accords. Colleges used all these as cattle. Ben benefited from 3-years of play. His story would be different if his socioeconomic status were different.
