He should have been replaced by Tessmann. That would also give us cover in midfield.

I’m not unhappy with that performance. Miles was arguably at fault somewhat for both goals and I don’t expect him to get a lot of game time barring injuries.

Ignoring the trolls (with nothing better to do because their teams aren’t playing today):

Gutted to lose this obviously but proud of how they played and proud of what they accomplished this season.

They fought hard, Arteta had a fantastic game plan that was well-executed. We always knew this would be an uphill battle given PSG’s talent and our injuries (which forced Mosquera’s starting, although he was generally decent outside of the penalty).

It’s tough to play 120+ minutes against a team that plays half the minutes Arsenal does because they can walk the league with their second team.

It hurts but damn what a season. If you had told me before it all started that we would win the prem and make it to pens against PSG in a CL final I would have taken that in a heartbeat. Onwards and upwards.

It will be interesting to see the long-term effects on medical schools. Most of my classmates left with six figures of debt. I think the average medical school debt is somewhere above 200 K presently, but many are much higher than that, 300 to 400 K.

While I am overall a proponent of this change for the reasons/effects stated in the OP, I am a bit concerned about how this might long-term affect doctors going to rural areas where they are most needed. More than a doctor shortage we have a distribution problem. Kids from rural areas are more likely to go back to rural areas after residency, and these kids in general are going to be less affluent than those coming from the cities. While there does exist some incentives to practice in rural areas, including loan repayment credits, I do not think they are strong enough.

I’m not going to spoil it, but it would be worthy of a title winning goal, let alone a league game against SJ. Sam was a second team guy who has scrapped his way to being a role player with the first team. He’s got that dog in him.
