Hard to know, especially since we don’t really have a coach or a technical director to hire a coach. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s somewhat experimental if Poch stays, but if he goes I would expect more of a first team lineup if we have a new coach.

Its the only thing that makes sense. Probably had a spondylolysis that became symptomatic. There may be some new advanced surgical technique to treat that but usually it’s a lumbar fusion which could be career ending. So I assume they’re going to rehab and let him rest over the next 3 to 6 months and hopefully it heals itself enough to be able to play.
This was my impression as well. Symptomatic spondy is just rehab.
Can we get this thread pinned to the top again?

I can’t think of a better depiction of modern day fatigue than the pic in the OP

I can’t believe I forgot that one. He’s 6’6. What a monster. He looks like a high upside player who will hopefully get decent minutes for Philly this year.
In more positive news, Sullivan had his best game in MLS yesterday, Mehmeti still looks like a stud (and got his nose broken yesterday and took it wayyyyy better at 17 than I would have in my thirties), Justin Ellis looks like a solid striker prospect (assisted Griezmann for his first MLS goal) and Mathis Albert started for Dortmund in a recent friendly and was involved in one of their goals.

Does anyone know what his back injury actually entails? Stress fracture maybe?
Defense is our immediate area of need but goalkeeping is a close second. I really hope Banks sticks with us. I feel better about Brady developing at this point than I do Slonina who of course got mired in Chelsea loan hell.
I think Luna will play a role for this team going forward. The guys Poch brought ahead of him got less than 90 minutes in games that mattered. Gozo also looks like a bright prospect. I like Pukstas, too.
Development is such a nonlinear, unpredictable crapshoot that I don’t really count anyone out. Ream is a shining example of this.

Tenotomy. Tennis elbow is a chronic/degenerative process in most people as opposed to a true tendinitis. The body just never mounts a good healing response. Tenotomy under ultrasound guidance induces a new injury to stimulate bleeding and a more robust healing response from the body, like a poor man’s PRP. Give it a try if nothing else has worked.

bullshite. If your dog is very ill, LSU Vet School Clinic should be your first stop. There are numerous practicing Vets who will participate in the care of your dog. We have a 3-year-old female who was not doing well at all , and the vet school immediately diagnosed Addison's disease. She is now thriving.
Our dog with protein losing enteropathy should never have lived to 14 but she’s still kicking and it’s 100% because of the LSU vet school. That said we’ve spent more money on the damn dog’s healthcare than on the kids…
Find a group to play pickup soccer with and go as frequently as possible. Playing pickup in college really improved my technical proficiency compared to where I was in high school.
It’s insane to think about. He’s been starting for Barca since he was 17. Crazy that other starters at that age (Pedri, Gavi) were bench players for them this World Cup (not to mention Yamal). The Barca to Spain talent pipeline is just insane.

Thanks for the match day threads
