Recruiting story...Back in the 70's, my uncle was being recruited by OU. A staffer took him for a drive and explained to him what a "sundown town" was. But told him they had lots of white women as long as he got back to campus by sundown.

Zero percent this happened.

Talking trash about other schools recruiting you has been happening for decades. For some reason, the term "negative recruiting" has become a headline. If this is news, I'm Margaret Thatcher.

He may get better, but right now, pointing out that 4-8 record (w/ a 1-8 finish) is the only negative recruiting any coach needs to do.
