Master P's son, Hercy Miller, has wasted zero time since the NCAA announced they'll allow athletes to make money off of their image and likeness. The incoming college freshman basketball star just signed a multi-million dollar deal....
quote:

"It was a 2 million dollar deal. It's incredible. This is gonna change the way college athletes want to stay in school," P says.

Remember, a few months back Master P told us he lined up this deal ... and was just waiting patiently for the regulations to change.

Well, rule changed, check ... and Hercy didn't wait long before signing his name on the dotted line.

"I signed a deal with an American technology company. Like my dad said, it's a blessing," Hercy -- an incoming frosh at Tennessee State -- tells us.

Master P has a 200m net worth. I imagine this is indirectly funded by Master P to promote his son. He is certainly getting a lot of attention.

I don't have issues with capitalism as long as legal and not corrupt (Hunter Biden...). But, how does the college game now differ from NBA G LEAGUE etc? Let's go back to legitimate Student Athletes in college. Kids that can actually get into the school. At this point it's all just another Minor League.

I think this is going to pretty much finish off my already waning interest in college sports.

I thought this too...but can't see how it can be rolled back at this point. Seems the NCAA just opened the gates with no plan or starting guard rails. Kids that do it won't be able to be told that they will have to chose between their contracts and continuing to play. They could try, but don't think it will go very well.

Man the IRS is going to have to create a special division to manage this new shite show. College sports as we know it is definitely going to be fundamentally transformed. The pro leagues are going to face a rude awakening with future contracts as sports in a time that sports is losing fanbase. Also, 18-22 yos are going to come out of college millionaires, so some may not care to continue playing and keep putting their bodies thru it. Sad, but interesting times.

2 million? For a freshman at Tn State? It’s only because he’s Master P’s son- whoever that is. Unbelievable!!! It’s not gonna surprise me when the “student athletes” start acting like their prima Donna pro counterparts. This is what could cause Saban to retire.
