Most people don't circle jerk on this board, we try and quash these batshit insane conspiracy theorists. It is embarrassing having people claim that the reason why team X is so much better than us is because they cheat or whatever it is. We have 85 "high star rating" players, we don't have excuses.
On a yearly basis I am pretty positive about Auburn, I just don't like hearing other people shite talk other schools with no foundation.
Also, when it comes to recruiting I am realistic. I play devil's advocate. Carry over from my AE posting days since those guys are convinced we are leading for 25 5stars

8-10 is not unreasonable and if they really are great posters, I don't see what is wrong with that. I stand by those comments, phrasing could use some work though.

Maybe we should, I don't know, create an SEC recruiting board. That way, fans from each team could talk about different recruits.

I don't want flaming and or Vol/OM/Grinder/Arky opinions abot recruits. Also, not everyone goes on the SEC RB
If we pull in solid posters, I don't know what you are afraid of happening. Do you think these guys really want to sit on our board and post about our recruiting battles, our team and what not all day? They are just going to post here when they have a question/find something interesting or when we ask for their opinion
If they are regular posters, likely they are going to be solid because we won't accept everyone.
Worst case, Ross bans them, we get this out of the way and it doesn't have to be brought up every 1-2 months

If it gets accepted on a trial basis to potentially add more, I could be down for this.
Look, I don't know if this will work, I just don't see why we can't try it out. It has some potential and if not, Ross does a good job of policing the boad and he can quash this.
If it doesn't work out, I will make an avi and sig that says "I'm sorry" with a very sad tiger/person/whatever on it

My knee jerk reaction to this was a resounding "frick no!". But after further thought, it might be cool to have a few of their posters around over here, and if it gets ugly, Ross can ban hammer them.

What's the point of team boards if we let other teams post on them? If you want their opinion on a prospect, there is the SEC recruiting board. If you want their opinion on football (which I don't know why you would), there's the SEC rant.

Chin's point here is that he would like to bring a few fans from different schools into the fold here that can bring relevant recruiting information without having to sort the other 99% of the bullshite on the SEC RB or Rant.
A different POV isn't a bad thing, especially if it is a small amount of good fans.

Thanks Brannigan, I'm pretty sur eyou are helping my cause because if you are against it, it must be a good idea.
You also only addressed one of the two points made, missing the fact that not everyone goes on the SEC RB. I'll give you another shot buddy

I am good with it and our board admins can police it more strictly than TD. I think as long as discussion stay cordial and respectful it would be good to have non flame discussions.
It would be worth a trial run. Ross and some of the others can tell you the SECrant used to be a lot better and it would be fun to test it out.
