Breaking: LSU Women's Basketball Loses Freshman To The Transfer Portal

LSU freshman guard Bella Hines is reportedly entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The former four-star recruit from Albuquerque, N.M., appeared in 33 games during her freshman season and averaged 4.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.

The Bella Hines situation is so confusing, her dad is talking about playing time, PG positioning and Bella not being a priority, what's up with that? First Bella playing time increased as the season went on, even Coach Kim said it in a few interviews, Bella's been playing well, I have to increase her playing time, she earned it. That sounds like Hines positioned herself well as a PG and Coach Kim evidently made her a priority with increase playing time. I think this transfer is more her father's decision than hers, JMO.

I'm watching a few games and am trying to figure out if the announcers are saying that these two white girls are freshman. After a few games I realized that that is prolly who they were talking about. So...I'm thinking, well hell, they'll be no drop off next year then. Damn.

Really disappointed that she is leaving. She had skills. Had gotten to know her pretty well during the season.Told me she was coming back. Even told CKM the same thing. But things change. Hopefully, she lands somewhere she is happy.

She's good. But I can't see her taking PG away from Jada. Who's left? Bella would not start over MK and not likely start over Ley. No way would she be a "priority" over any of those 3. I'm pretty sure there are some in the portal with equal or superior talent. If LSU can land any them...we'll soon find out.
