Its LSU. Numbers become legend. You share that tradition with great players. Could you imagine if Patrick Peterson felt that way, Matt Mauck felt that way? Only Cannon has had his number retired in LSU history. Cannon was a true athlete and played both offense and defense in winning the Heisman. Remember the famous Halloween night run where he broke 7 tackles. Could JD been able to do that? Only two players have won a Heisman and a National Championship. JD isn't one of them. Cannon was one and when the time comes Burrow will be the other one. Those are the ones deserving to have their number retired
