Remember this...OM will not play another game this season where they are that emotionally amped up, where the opposing QB misses 2-3 TD passes, and where the opposing team essentially takes the 1st half off. Maybe...maybe not, but OM played like world beaters for the 1sy 30 mins. With all of that said, LSU STILL could've won the game..
shite I remember Keith Jackson and Frank Broyles doing the afternoon game for ABC back in the day. Good shite!!!

Beat me to it. This will be different...new coach, opportunity to prove to the world AND Clemson that Tiger Stadium is the real Death Valley, and LSU (both fans and team) is hungry. We haven't seen a hungry, pissed off Tiger Stadium in quite a while. Maybe even Auburn '95 type vibes.

Lane is different now. He's matured. It seems he really genuinely loves LSU and is excited to "coach in Tiger Stadium". What I really love about him is how he takes everything that Saban says and puts it to use. Saban is a true mentor to him and they both embrace it. MAN LSU football is gonna be fun again!!!!

This. Jim Hawthorne was a legend. In his prime, he was one of the most distinguishable voices on radio. He had so much love and passion for LSU and you could hear it in his broadcasts. In the 80's, 90's, there may only be 5 televised games all season so you either had to go or listen to the radio call (or get old school Tigervision), so it was much more common than it is today to listen on the radio. Just like my dad used to brag on John Ferguson as being the "real voice of the Tigers", I'm doin the same for my generation with Jim.

1993 Arkansas. Cold as hell and we ALL knew we were gonna have a GREAT day and wind up in a bowl game for the 1st time in 5 years. A trash Arkansas team came in and whipped our asses up and down the TS field. Went home again a loser.

100%. The real Death Valley…gameday…opening game for Lane Kiffin…marquee out of conference opponent. Tiger Stadium is gonna have a feel it hasn’t had in awhile.

He does visually resemble Eddy alot with his play. His form at bat looks exactly like his dad. He just don't make contact as much as his pop did.
