That has to be a response to the constant drum beat among the CBK doubters, that he throws his players under the bus and blames them whenever we lose. He made sure to come out in their defense in a very strategic fashion while picking up a key SEC win at home. He knows the offense underachieved/didn't pull their weight, and probably isn't thrilled, and will address it at practice, but not all wins are going to be pretty. He did not need to apologize for anything.
