Multiple sources have reported that LSU running back Ju’Juan Johnson will be entering the transfer portal.

Johnson, a former four-star athlete from Lafayette, La. (Lafayette Christian Academy), was the most productive high school quarterback in Louisiana prep history with a record 14,451 total yards and 171 total touchdowns.

He came to LSU as a defensive back but switched to running back during his freshman season last year, rushing for just 14 yards on seven carries. He also had five receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown.

Johnson played behind sophomore Caden Durham and true freshman Harlem Berry this past season and rushed 151 yards on 38 carries and two touchdowns.

Johnson appeared in every game over the last two seasons and will have two years of eligibility at his next school.

Saw the headline and thought, "Please don't let it be Berry." Whew!

Never ever see what dick head Kelly seen in this kid. I mean he was ok but nothing special.

If he ever ends up being an NFL QB, Kelly would be spoken about in the same vein as Miles for recruiting Dak Prescott to be a tight end.

I think people forget he was recruited as a four star db and moved to offense bc of his athleticism and need. He’s numbers in high school are ridiculous and a testament to his ability. He has been great for LSU, and just have to trust Lane at this point.

No point in being on a team where you are not going to get carries. Best of luck in the future and thanks for being a Tiger!

I knew this would happen. Tbh, he SHOULD have never went to LSU. Should have gone where they world develop him as a qb like they did for the aTm qb.

This must mean we're getting Kewan Lacy. If so then you know he wouldn't have much playing time again. This is the right move for a player like him.

I guess lane answered his question , “why not me”

Good for him. He has so much to give to the game, and we didn't really have a way to give him what he deserves

I get Russell Shepard tweener vibes from this guy. Wish him the best, though. Shepard had a productive pro career.

Seemed like he did everything anyone asked of him. He needs to think about himself and get developed at one position, not bounce around

LSU Fd up with this talent. Multi-talented and should have had the chance at QB. Do not blame him one-bit, good luck JJ, you will be missed.

I like the guy a lot. Got lots of touches and never really made big plays.

Good. No more fumbles in the red zone.
