It was reported late Friday night that Blake Baker would be withdrawing his name from consideration for the Tulane head coach position and would remain as LSU's defensive coordinator.

New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed the news and revealed that he canceled his trip to Atlanta for ESPN's College GameDay from the SEC Championship to get the deal done with Baker.

Genius???? Baker very good coach, gotta stop Mobile QB’s consistently to be a genius. Also, LSU Defense was ranked 25th in nation this year, improved for sure, but top 10 territory is where the genius word and championships might come to mind.
